Stanton House Hotel

I expected the room and shower to be more up to date. It looks tired and needs a updating

The overall experience was really good, the reception staff, the evening restaurant staff and the morning breakfast staff were all really good. Two names stick out, Jemma on reception and Jeremy at breakfast. Loved the whole stay 💪👍

The only thing that I could say requires improvement, but is the same in all hotels, is the room coffee, milk situation, not enough sachets,?But your guy on reception was kind enough to get me a machine latte, so made up for it.

We love everything about Stanton House hotel and have stayed several times over the part few years. Can’t fault it.

Nothing

All the staff we eat exceeded expectations.can’t name one as they were all exceptional. Nothing was to much trouble. They made the stay.

Decoration was more than dated, as if done by a first time D.I.Y.er. Cleaning didn’t seem to be any.

A wonderful experience from the time you step into the hotel to when you leave. We had a cream tea not long after arriving, the scone was lovely and warm, soft and tasted wonderful. The room was excellent, clean, warm and inviting. We had dinner in the hotel, everything was cooked just right with no short measures and the deserts, well I had homemade sticky toffee pudding wow , one of the best I have ever had. My wife had Stanton house mess ( a take on the Eton version) she couldn’t finish it. Following morning, breakfast we had the continental plenty enough. Booking out was made so easy with the friendly team, thank you to them all for a wonderful time.

We have returned to Stanton House 3 times now. We have family close by so its perfect for visits. The staff are very helpful. The food is brilliant. The rooms are warm, and the beds are very comfortable. We book a superior room as its just more comfortable space wise. The garden and grounds are beautiful. We will be returning again.

I have used Stanton House many times before but this visit was a bit disappointing. There was no hot water in the morning, the wash basin sink plug stuck and couldn't be released so I had to leave a bowl of dirty water and the bedside lamp couldn't be plugged in. On the plus side the bed was comfy and the breakfast was excellent.
