Terra Andina Colonial Mansion

Property was decent with an attractively styled lobby and clean room. Location was a few blocks from Plaza de Armas. I didn’t like that I had to ask for Bulgari toiletries since they are pictured in the advertising. I didn’t like that my bathtub wouldn’t drain and I had to have maintenance come into my room. I didn’t like that there was no coffee in the room or lobby. I didn’t like that I could hear dogs barking from 2200-0500 from my room.

It’s a really pretty property. The staff was great. Their location near the main market was great. The rooms were smaller than I expected with not enough room to open two suitcases. The breakfast was fine. I did miss having a coffee pot in the room. Also, being on the first floor was pretty noisy.

You could easily miss is just walking down the street. But once you go through the doors you're surrounded by very classic Spanish architecture. This place was wonderful in our room was very comfortable and spacious. You're only a block or less from the San Pedro market and just a few blocks from the class of the armas. We only have the chance to have breakfast one morning but it was very delicious and abundant. It is in the buffet yourself served style.

The hotel was in a good area for walking, but a little bit noisy so we didn’t sleep all that well. But we got last-minute emergency rooms after our VRBO reservation host didn’t show up and left us stranded on the street.

It’s not close to the downtown. You need 10-15 min till Plaza de Armas and that’s a lot when you’re not acclimatized yet. There’s no elevator. Towels are very old and ugly looking.we had a view to the wall from our room. bad smell from bathroom spreading .Would never stay here again.

We actually spent nine days total at this hotel as we arrived a few days prior to our group for a weeklong tour. The tour company had chosen this property for our family group of eighteen and we were all so happy with these accommodations. Centrally located, just a few minutes from the San Pedro market and less than ten minutes from Plaza de Armas. Our first evening we enjoyed a light meal at the hotel's restaurant, their homemade chicken soup was delicious and perfect while we were adjusting to the higher altitude. Breakfast was really good as well, made to order eggs, fresh fruit and juices, home made baked goods, and other items that changed daily. Our rooms varied in size, but overall, enough space, some even had robes and slippers, comfortable beds, reliable hot showers. The house keeping staff did a wonderful job keeping rooms clean and stocked with plenty of towels and toiletries. The best part of our stay were the incredible, amazing staff in all areas, but especially at the front desk and the porters. Upon check in they were very acommodating with my parents who needed an easy access, no stairs room. On our third day there my mom was showing symptoms of altitude sickness and the staff called a doctor to come over to her room, and also providing a wheel chair for her to use. Throughout our stay, the porters were always so helpful with our parents when entering or leaving the hotel, including getting in and out of taxis. All of the staff were kind, friendly and professional, always a smile on their faces!

Though this hotel is beautiful after an extensive remodel and is located in a great part of town, I will never stay here again! The employees and guests constantly slam the doors shut after leaving a room. They did not install self closing hardware. The building has tile floors and stone walls which amplify every sound including employees loud conversations. There is no A/C and the rooms are stuffy because the only window faces out into the common area so noise is an issue. At the least, install ceiling fans so the windows don’t have to remain open for “fresh” air. Terrible experience.
