Beautiful hotel with beautiful grounds and the food was good very good service

One of the fixtures on the wall was wobbling in the bathroom not really acceptable for five star

We enjoyed several aspects of our visit, we experienced a significant issue with our room temperature that impacted our comfort.First, I want to commend your staff for being polite and professional. We also loved our spacious room , beautiful garden and had an excellent dinner. However, the heating in our room was a major issue. The room was very cold. We called reception to report this, but nothing was done for over an hour. After we followed up a second time, two team members came to fix the system and told us the issue was resolved. Unfortunately, the room remained cold. We noticed there was no hot water circulating through the heating panel.The next morning, when we talked to the reception again,a member of your management team explained that the system is controlled automatically based on the weather outside. While we understand this system design, we feel a hotel of your standard should offer guests better control over their room temperature. At the very least, a temporary space heater should have been offered to us when we reported being cold. We hope you will review how heating issues are handled so future guests can enjoy the entire stay.

This was a surprise present for my wife's 60th birthday. We both really enjoyed the luxury and indulgence. The evening meal was amazing and the staff were lovely. We'd only stay here for a special occasion, but it was very special, so would definitely stay again

The room was fantastic with lots of space, amazing bathroom with Molton Brown toiletries. Lovely turn down service and fantastic food. The history tour you can book as an add on was lovely.

Historic and beautiful building. Room was amazing

Tastings menu in restaurant was good but have had better. It was just the little touches that usually come with Michellin starred places, but of course this has not yet won a star. Waiting staff lovely though
