Hampton Inn Jacksonville-I-295 East/Baymeadows

expedia rating of 8 blows my mind-it is dirty, damp and not very clean. the only nice spot was lobby rooms are that of motel 6 or worse.

The staff was aloof. Mire interested in talking to each other than me. We checked in late in the evening, and went right to bed. Someone elses hair was stopping ip the shower drain in the morning. Then I went to turn on the floor lamp, only to discover the shade was covered in mold. Do not recommend

Well, nothing.

At check-in, they couldn’t find my booking and just said it was “cancelled.” No call, no text, just one email sent an hour before I arrived (while I was driving). Staff didn’t try to help, just blamed me. Room was dirty, smelled bad, and the desk chair looked like it came from a dumpster. I emailed the GM, asked for a call, no response. Clearly, they don’t care. I’ve stayed at many Hampton Inns. This one is a hard no.

The check out was at 12pm

House keeping was knocking on the door at 9:10am. There was black hair all over the shower and bed. The shower was Luke warm not hot at all. There was also a constant knocking sound while showering. Then house keeping came back knocking on the door at 11:15 so we got up to leave. The crazy thing is my first time staying here house keeping knocked on the door around 11:30. The staff sitting in the lobby doesn’t even greet the guest. HORRIBLE!!!!

Although it wasn’t terrible and the location was good, I don’t think I’d stay there again. Not dirty exactly but kind of shabby. Needs a complete overhaul. Water smelled and almost felt slimy. Despite air conditioning, it was so humid in the room that my clothes got damp, the sheets were damp and a book I brought, curled up in the corners. Coffee terrible but breakfast adequate. Front desk people were apathetic.

Friendly staff and easy parking. The room was very clean, but the mildew odor was potent and uncomfortable.

I stayed in room 109. The bathroom sick and faucet were dirty. Something smeared all over faucet. Counters had dried water spots. Sink had dried "Something" in it. Toliet doesn't flush properly and brown stain in the bottom of the toilet bowl. Gross. Refrigerator wasn't working properly. Condemnation all over the inside. Carpet is very dirty and stained. Definitely needs cleaning. I also stepped on something sharp so it didn't seem like it had been vacuumed. Or if so, it was poorly done. Price for one popsicle was $4.50 which is absurd. The only decent thing was the bed and pillows were comfortable. Thank goodness. Ill never stay here again.
