Tango Mar Beachfront Boutique Hotel & Villas

We had a lovely stay and appreciated how clean the beach was, the property amenities such as the waterfall hike, tour/excursion options, and cleanliness. Breakfast was reliable and enjoyable. Dinner quality is excellent. We enjoyed that there are many things to do on the property. Thank you Tango Mar for a beautiful honeymoon.

We loved our stay at Tango Mar. It was the end of 2 week trip, and we absolutely love the seclusion, serenity, beauty, and most of all the sound of the waves on this gorgeous gem of a property. The location was probably the best landscape we've seen in Costa Rica, and we also stayed at another 6 star resort/Marriott Vacation Club in Los Suenos'. That's saying a lot. The food was great, service was outstanding, and personal touches were amazing. Loved the Jacuzzi and the Tropical Suites. Walking up to the unit is not for the faint of heart though. Be prepared for the stairs and climbing. Loved the sunsets and the sunrises on the same beach. Got lots of great pictures, but mostly lots of rest. We took the auto ferry from the mainland and landed in Paquera. Took about 30 minutes of driving to get there.

Super remote and difficult drive but well worth the effort

The setting is absolutely fantastic. Located on a stunning tropical beach and in a beautiful park, this hotel could be perfect, but: - the food was a hit or miss (sometimes really Bad), not varied enough and pricey - the hotel feels like it has not been refurbished since early 90’s (mattresses, decoration, bedding, lobby furniture should be revamped) - for an-eco friendly hotel, they should not be serving plastic straws - internet was slow and system to log-in was archaic. I’m other words, with the help of a hotel manager that is up to date with 2020s customer expectations, this hotel could be perfect.

The property is in a very nice isolated area and it feels like you’re in a natural reserve. The road to the hotel is an off road and is very bumpy

The service was horrible. We did not leave the property, lunch, dinner and drinks by the pool. The service was the same. Terrible. Property is nice but poorly managed. My advice……… bring your own food and drink

This is the second time I have stayed at Tango Mar. A beautiful resort in a beautiful part of Costa Rica.

The location is very nice. Beach is beautiful, and the pool is very nice too. They can do better in the restaurants
