Tango Mar Beachfront Boutique Hotel & Villas

Outstanding location, well looked after, excellent friendly staff. Clean room. Had an issue with curtains which was fixed immediately. Could use better signage on the main road alerting you that the entrance was coming up!

5 star beach at 3 star facility. The property itself is one of the nicest so far down on the peninsula. The beach was absolutely beautiful. The food was hard to come by. They have a very hard to keep up w schedule for when food is available. No foot whatsoever between 10 am and 1130 am. No food between 330 and 630. Which is awkward if you’re traveling to or from an adventure, jet lag or just want to eat a late breakfast. Also the hotel bathrooms have 3rd world country plumbing. Six flushes to get anything to go down. I thought the staff was very kind, the prices reasonable, just the whole place had a aging feeling to it.

We spent a wonderful four days at Tango Mar. Our villa was comfortable, service was good, advice very helpful, food options very good. The beach is gorgeous, and lying by the pool during the day and listening to the waves at night was incredibly relaxing. The property is not in walkable vicinity of shopping or other food options, so having a car was helpful. Various tours for parks and snorkeling were offered. We would definitely come here again.

Literally you're sleeping in the ocean, beautiful room oceanfront. Very comfortable bed.

Couldn’t swim at beach.. terrible spa … pool bar was suppose to be open 11-6 and was only open one hour during happy hour … food was too expensive with limited options and it was $500 or more to get to and from the airport and it took 4 hrs or better both ways

Great location.

What can we say - the most wonderful vacation we’ve had in a while. It was our first trip to Costa Rica and we had high expectations which were met and exceeded by the hotel. The team were always there for you, always ready with a smile to look after you and were genuinely fun to be with. The food was superb and considering the location was not in a resort area was very well priced. I can not speak highly enough of Hilde the GM who was extremely friendly and always concerned for client’s well being. We will definitely be returning, in fact we are contemplating a long stay in the winter to escape Canada’s cold. We can’t thank the hotel enough for such a great time.

This is the single most amazing place in the world. We've stayed at resorts that cost much more than this at various tropical destinations around the world, and Tango Mar is the best. We will definitely be back.
