Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Detroit Metro Airport Romulus

After being rerouted to Detroit from Chicago on my flight, due to weather. My wife made a reservation at this hotel, and when I went to check in, they said they’d given my room away. My wife didn’t make the reservation until nearly midnight because of all the delays, and by the time I got to the hotel after getting my luggage, it was after 1:30 AM., and I desperately needed sleep…. But I did not get a room!! I had to sleep in the hotel lobby!! I am now trying to be refunded for this room…so that’s just more work on my part to get this rectified!

The facilities were clean. The guest service was spot on. I was comfortable. My only ambiguous grip is I could not enjoy watching Netflix in the bedroom because the TV in the room will not allow me to watch Netflix unless I upgraded my Netflix package because the TV that I was watching it on was a 2014 and was unable to receive the update so that you can watch Netflix Without ads

The check in was very quick and easy. Clean rooms. Very handy near the airport and off airport parking.

Staff at the reception was quite rude and unhelpful (I asked to have directions about the shuttle meeting point via e-mail, as I couldn't understand it on the phone, and she just repeated "transportation ground" and then hung up the phone. So I had to get a Uber to the hotel). Air conditioning was way too cold

This property is perfect for an overnight stay if going to the airport early in the morning. The shuttle was very convenient. The pool is also nice with a hot tub which was very nice to relax in.
