Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Detroit Metro Airport Romulus

It was good i enjoyed my stay but the lady at the front desk was smart remarkings but other than that it was good.

Break fast was pathetic, not expecting from a leading hotel chain

Return costumer. Easy parking at the parking lot beside with shuttle service to/from the airport.

Nice room, but leftover confetti in a couple of places on the floor. No sign of vacuum cleaners when the maids were in the hallway, just lint brushes on long poles. Pool water was cloudy - not like the photo. Breakfast was very disappointing. Very basic, and food was limited. Coffee was gone at 8 am, with no sign of whether it would be refilled. We usually stay at chain hotels other than Fairfield, and will continue to do so.

Close proximity to the airport.

It needs to be renovated. The carpets are stained. The breakfast area needs to be renovated with new tables and chairs. The food was not up to standard. Brown bananas that were spoiled.

The front desk person who checked us in was not very welcoming and showed indifference in interacting with us. When we asked a specific question about shuttle service to the airport, she would not respond. Later, we were attempting to print our boarding passes, but the printer was not working. We notified her and asked if there was anything we could do with the printer and she gave us an option which did not work. She offered no additional support for the inoperable printer. Also, there was no mention on Expedia that there was a charge for parking. We did like the convenience of the location and the shuttle service to the airport.

My stay was wonderful.

We ended up at this Fairfield Inn for one night due to a flight cancellation. Amy Jo checked us in. She seemed to be the only employee working, but she handled the long line with ease. The only negative is that she asked me for my Marriott Bonvoy number, but did not give me points for the stay. I had to put in a request to retrieve the missing points. We found our room clean and comfortable. One thing that we did find interesting was the Do Not Disturb/Housekeeping system, it was not your typical door hanger (see the pics). It was much better than the door hanger, not sure why we have never seen this system before. The hotel provided complimentary breakfast and offered plenty of hot/cold food/drink choices. Though the chairs in the eating area could/should be replaced. Most of them are pretty worn (see pic). There are restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Ankha checked us out and was very professional. A hotel shuttle was available to and from the airport.
