Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Middletown

Check in was extremely slow and I filled out the Microtel pre-check in via the text that was sent by Microtel which said to do it to speed up the process. Also I felt unsafe as multiple drug addicts hanging around and making noise late into the night. There was a strong odor of marijuana in the lobby.

The hotel is listed as non-smoking but reeks of cigarettes everywhere you go. There was also a strong aroma of marijuana throughout the building. Our room was only cleaned once and we never received clean linens or towels. Breakfast was lacking and the coffee was always burnt.

The location

There was homeless people in and out. There was drug use outside the front door. The lobby was dirty, there was lots of people hanging out by the front entrance smoking. Ambulance was there picking up people.

We had stayed before and it was great however this time was very disappointing. The room very small not comfortable no microwave or fridge. It seems they may have been putting up several guest who just loitering outside smoking or in the dining area. Will not recommend it or stay at this location again.

It wasn't that good. Could use more hot options. Sausage, bacon, eggs.

Didn't have remote control for t.v. Had to find maid to give us one and it didn't work most of the time. Had to leave t.v. on o r station.

The staff is wonderful here especially Johnathan. I lost my blanket there at the hotel after my stay. After traveling home I realized I had forgotten the blanket. I gave the hotel a call and was connected with Johnathan who said he would keep an eye out for me. A week later he called me back to let me know he had found it and that he would ship it back to me. Truly an incredible staff member and I am very thankful! Thank you Johnathan!

Very clean. Well equipped. Nice location with private beach, pools.

Just the beds were a bit uncomfortable for me but only because I have back issues.

In my entire life this was the worst hotel I ever stayed at. Dirty, broken room phone, extremely noisy, hall carpeting dangerous and filthy, outside doors broken, barely functioning TV. Bathroom sink cracked and filthy. Toilet seat not properly installed. Poor lighting in the room. Mattress very hard and lumpy. Pillows lumpy. Had to bri g in my own. No luggage carts available or working. Just a total horrow show. Not even fit to be a pig sty. When I complained to Wyndham about it, they asked me to leave. I will be suing the hotel and Wyndham for violating the Americans with Disability Act and for abuse of a senior citizen. Nobody should ever be sent there by Expedia. I will also be working to have Wyndham remove their branding. The only plus is that the staff were very pleasant and helpful

Basic rooms, no frills, outdated, high rates

I was staying in a handicap room and the room itself was mainly accessible but the room was located at the end of the hallway and the entire hallway was carpet and was very challenging to roll the scooter down. Also the doors have no automatic opener so getting in and out of the hotel was challenging by myself as I was traveling solo
