Sierra Lago Resort & Spa Hotel-All Inclusive

This property was wonderful. Our cabin was well furnished and very fresh and clean. The options for activities were great. We chose to hike to a high peak that had a 360 degree view of the Sierra Madres and valleys below. Getting here was an adventure. Two hours to Mascota on very winding roads and then a 25K trek up the mountain. I had a regular rental car and negotiating the winding, rocky road up to the gates of the hotel was quite stressful. I would recommend a 4WD with high clearance. Watching the stars here on a clear night is spectacular. Food was excellent and drinks were top notch. First time in the mountains in Mexico, and it was wonderful. A nice contrast to the beaches in PV area.

This is my fourth time going to Sierra Lago, and I can honestly say that this time I enjoyed it the most. The scenary is beautiful, the weather in July is amazing even with the occasional rain throughout the day. I have taken my family every time, and know one has ever said that they did not enjoy their stay. Sierra Lago has done some extensive remodeling, and it is truly an amazing resort. The service from the staff is incredible, the cabins are in great condition, and very clean. The food is very good, as are the drinks. If you want a very memorable and peaceful vacation, you will not go wrong with Sierra Lago (La Laguna de Juanacatlan)!

The views and setting are amazing, it can either be a romantic getaway or a great family vacation. The hotel grounds are impeccable, the food is delicious, and the staff is friendly, competent and helpful. You will truly enjoy your stay.

Booked one night to get out of Puerto Vallarta for a bit. This place is about a 2 1/2 drive from PV and well worth it. I will be going back.

The road to Sierra Largo was a little scary driving during the rain, but once you reach the resort you are in paradise. Beautiful resort, food and views. Our stay was all about relaxing and the food and we enjoyed our cozy beautiful room and the restaurant. The only knock is that the bed was a 4 star in a 5 star resort in my opinion and I'm being picky here.

Stunning place a must see!

The road in is very basic, with the last 7 km comparable to a logging road of dirt with rocks and ruts. Not for the faint of heart, or anyone without 4 wheel drive or an adventure type of motorcycle with an experienced rider. Once you get there, it is a magical experience complete with beautiful accommodations, fine dining, a well kept grounds with tennis courts, bicycles, horseback riding, kayaking, and a full spa service, etc. The staff were wonderful and attentive. My only complaint besides the road was a lack of hot water in the bathroom.
