"Extremely nice staff;...can't beat it in Puebla!!!"

8.0

Safely and securely situated w/in the historical zone, and 2 blocks away from Zócalo! This boutique hotel it's a jewel in the heart of Puebla. It's walking distance to all main attractions, dining, local crafts shopping, convenience stores, and a-la-carte full breakfast!!! Wall-mounted AC made it for a quiet restful sleep!

"More than a hotel- An experience!"

10.0

We loved this hotel from the moment they warmly welcomed us to the end of our 2 week stay. It has real character and we knew we were in Historical Mexico, not in a cookie cutter version of any hotel, motel or B&B. The food is delicious, full breakfasts plentiful, and we invited friends to join us for dinner many nights. One evening we returned after a night out to find rose petals strewn from the door to our bed with candles lighting the way- a lovely surprise! No place is perfect. The downside was occasional music from the bar next door too close to our particular room which shared the adjoining wall. It didn't bother us but it might bother you. If you go to bed early and are a light sleeper, ask for a room on the other side. Also, after rainstorms an odor came up from the sewer through the shower drain. I think this is a citywide problem as friends in other hotels mentioned the same thing as it was the rainy season. We just kept the shower door closed and it was fine. Overall, this hotel is worth a visit even if you aren't staying there! Come for diviner on Friday or Sat. and hear wonderful singers, or piano music earlier on. Eloy at the reception desk was always kind, cheerful and helpful.

"Old style hotel with real character"

10.0

Excellent! Our first impression was: 'Wow' and that was very much justified by the stay. It is in a good position for seeing the old town of Puebla - a walk to the Zocalo takes less than 10 minutes. The room was full of character, but of comfort too and an excellent breakfast was included in our package. We also found the restaurant very good to eat at in the evening, with good local dishes on offer.

"And the best restaurant in Puebla"

10.0

This hotel is very charming, in an excellent location for seeing the art and cultural treasures of Puebla, a world heritage sight. You will enjoy the beauty of the hotel, and as a bonus the restaurant has the very best food in the city with a mole to die for.

"Beautiful antique hotel"

8.0

The hotel is in an old house, filled with antiques, with only 8 rooms. Beautiful place and excellently located, right in the heart of Puebla, you can walk almost everywhere. The first room we had had a problem with the plumbing, no hot water and a foul smell, so we were changed to another room. The personnel is very nice and the food is excellent. The candies that were in our room when we arrived were the best! The hotel could use some fixing up, for example the bathroom door in the restaurant is patched up with toilet paper!! And this is supposed to be one of the best boutique hotels in the city.

"Oasis"

8.0

The hotel was a pleasant surprise at the end of a long travel day. The staff greeted and presented themselves as if they were proud to be of service. The english spoken by the daytime staff was very helpful in my quest for points of interest. They also made suggestions that made my adventure more pleasing. I stayed in room number 7 with a small balcony over the callejon with temporary parking only in front of the hotel and limited one way traffic. I am a light sleeper so I always take ear plugs but only used them when I turned in early or wanted to sleep in late, the middle of the night was dead quiet and I slept well in the comfortable bed, they even offer a selection of pillows. They had a coffee maker with choice of decaf and assorted teas. They had a generous supply of water bottles in the room that were replaced every day.

"Stylish, friendly and wonderful restaurant"

10.0

Stylish hotel; extremely friendly and helpful. The food is sublime -- one of the best in town, with brilliant service and a house mole sauce to die for. Two downsides: the room, being colonial, is gloomy; and because it is a restaurant it's noisy till 10pm. But if you can live with those, a fabulous hotel and superb value.
