Sun Island Boutique Villas & Spa Seminyak

Upon arrival the Villa did not have my booking and the staff were amazing at finding a solution. The villa was a good size and clean pool and linen was lovely. I have stayed in Villas a lot in Bali and have never had to ask for crockery and cutlery, no glasses, no plates, no knives or forks....2 coffee cups with saucer and teaspoon only. I had to ask for glasses and a bottle opener, the one glass I was given was promptly talen away the next day and no other items were supplied. A water dispenser is supplied, but no glasses to drink out of. I feel the staff are doing there best with the resources thay have. The most shocking thing was the urine stain marks on the stone tiles, the staff advised me the stone is hard to clean but I have never seen this in any Bali villa. The one restaurant meal I had was reheated pizza and what tasted like days old pork belly with packet sauce and packet mash.... I was going to book this Villa for my daughter but definitely will not now. The location, security, and villa size are the few good things about Sun Island Boutique Villas. I will definitely be going back to Villa Bugis or Jas Green Villas instead.

Manager at reception was exceptional upon arrival. Room was ready and cool inside. Had a problem with the tv and a/c and it was fixed within the hour. Nothing a bother for these guys. Breakfast was enough each day and the restaurant staff were excellent. Pool was amazing and cool after a hot day walking or touring. Fridge in kitchen was big enough for drinks.

Had to ask for glasses and cutlery from the restaurant. It wasn’t supplied in the room. But when asked for they bought it to the room immediately and without fuss. Villas should have at least glasses to use in them.

Great location

Villas are a little dated now, and could use a little renno/touch up (clean the mould from the walls around the villa pool). Ran out of water from the water cooler quite quickly. The Bintangs from the pool bar were not cold.

As per the pictures and no unpleasant surprises. Break fast was very nice and staff were lovely.

They got our booking wrong and told us only 4 for breakfast when we paid for 5. Its a little annoying to have to check these details when it was also readily available for them. In the kitchenette in each villa, it would help to have some basic items available without having to ask for them - cutlery, plates, glasses.
