Grand Hotel Hermitage & Villa Romita

Great staff

We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 day stay at Grand Hotel Hermitage. We were met at the hotel entrance by Renato, hotel manager. He made us feel right at home. All the staff are so helpful. The room over looking the Naples Bay is amazing. Nice pool. Very good dining options. We also booked an Amalfi boat tour through the hotel. We met one couple from England that told us they have been coming this hotel 20 years in a row!

WOW!!!! This fantastic hotel and villa Romita tick all the boxes. My husband and I have had an incredible two weeks staying in the hotels villa Romita. From the minute we arrived and were greeted by Renato we were made to feel so welcome. The villa like the hotel is very traditionally decorated which adds to its beautiful Italian charm and heritage. The views over the bay of Naples with mount Vesuvius taking centre stage are simply breathtaking. House keeping was very good. Our room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were always provided. Dining on the half board basis could not be faulted. Breakfast had a fantastic selection of both hot and cold buffet choices and the evening menu was, for us, excellent. The evening meal is waiter service. All of the staff, headed by Salvatori give 100% of their time and attention to make sure that all guests are happy, nothing is too much, They all give that little extra bit of personal attention which makes your stay extra special. The pool area snd poolside bar is immaculate. No blaring music and plenty of sun loungers (although there are still a few that put out their towels before breakfast). The hotel have their own mini bus which takes you down into Sorrento. You book at reception, it’s a free service, and there are set times to bring you back. The reception can also arrange trips to all of the places of interest, such as Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri etc which is a good service. The lovely village of Sant Agata is a 10minute walk through the hotel grounds. There are a number of restaurants, bars and shops and a beautiful church, it’s just perfect. We have been so taken by this amazing place that we have already booked a two week stay for July 2026. It was a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The hotel is easily accessible to the town and the bus stop for Sorrento. I really like the food, the pool bar and the lovely restaurant. If you are looking for a place to just chill out peacefully and commute into the noise of Sorrento, this is the hotel for you.

This is a lovely hotel in a peaceful location yet minutes walk to the nearby village. Our room was always kept clean and fresh towels every day.The pool area is very nice and spotless.I hope to return again soon.

Stayed for 4 nights in August. Cannot fault the hotel or staff. Excellent location with exquisite views. I must mention and thank Roberta who served us drinks daily on the terrace. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is quiet and a very good base for visiting the Amalfi Coast. The shuttle bus to Sorrento is extremely convenient, and the excursions organized through the hotel were good and well-structured. The staff were friendly and helpful, and overall the hotel was clean and well maintained.

The only downside was that the sofa bed prepared for my child didn’t feel very clean, so we had to cover it with a towel. It was uncomfortable for her to use, which was a bit disappointing. Every time she sat there, she started sneezing, which makes me think there was dust or something else on that couch. We decided to let her sleep with us instead. It wasn’t a major issue, but it was inconvenient.

The view is amazing , hotel is clean and the food is very good. Thank you!

We can’t say enough about the Grand Hotel Hermitage. Incredible views, clean, comfortable, great food, and the best staff imaginable! They bent over backwards to accomodate excursions and made our stay an absolute pleasure. Highly recommend. A+
