Grand Hotel Hermitage & Villa Romita

Great location - Staff extremely friendly and attentive. Great service and great knowledge of surrounding area.

We stayed at the villas, the facility is very old, dont have elevator, matress and pillows are not good, rooms are very clean and breakfast is really good a lot to choose bur if you stay longer be prepared to eat the same, there is space for parking and they have shuttle to Sorrento, the staff was not so friendly but in overall is ok

Lovely hotel, with wonderful vista across Sorrento, Bay of Naples, Vesuvius. Excellent staff, nice restaurant, rooms well kept. A shuttle bus is run into Sorrento and back, which helps save on a 50 Euro taxi ride ! 10 minutes walk via lane at back of hotel takes you up to Sant Agata village with its lovely little restaurants and a couple of bars.

We had a lovely time at this hotel, the staff was very accommodating in all your needs. The town that is close is friendly. The hotel dud great booking the tours, it was so easy- we did a boat tour, positano at night and Pompei Renato is excellent -

We had the most wonderful stay here and already looking forward to returning here one day. The staff was so friendly and accommodating with anything we needed. The hotel has a breathtaking view overlooking Sorrento and the bay of Naples. It is an easy walk up to Sant’ Agata, a small local town with wonderful shops and restaurants. The hotel offers an easy shuttle service down to Sorrento. Originally I was nervous booking a hotel further outside of Sorrento city center, worried getting into Sorrento may be difficult, but I am so thankful we did. I loved that we dined with locals every night in the small town rather than feeling overwhelmed by large tourist crowds. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Sorrento area.

We had the most wonderful experience at Grand Hotel Hermitage & Villa Romita! From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of a family – and that’s what makes this place truly special. Everyone here treats you with warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality. The hotel is spectacular – peaceful, charming, and full of character. Even though it’s a little outside town, it’s absolutely worth the visit. They provide convenient transportation, so getting around is never a problem. A heartfelt thank you to Guillermo, the owner, for welcoming us so generously. Renato was fabulous – attentive, helpful, always with a smile. Paolo also took such great care of us. Our driver, Domenico, was professional and friendly, making every ride smooth. A very special mention to Antonino, our waiter, whose attention and kindness made every meal unforgettable. The food was excellent! We also met Renato’s aunt, Mrs. Maria, who was so kind and welcoming, adding even more to the family atmosphere. And of course, Rafael – simply spectacular, always ready to help. This hotel is more than a stay – it’s an experience filled with warmth, authenticity, and memories we’ll cherish forever. We loved everything about this family-run hotel and all of the people who work in it. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were looked after so well, and we were made to feel very special. The food and drink were amazing, as were the hotel and the location. They lay on multiple free shuttle buses daily to and from Sorrento, and they also helped us organise our excursions, which were unforgettable! As we booked direct they also helped us with our airport transfers. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! We can't wait to visit again.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Grand Hotel Hermitage in Sorrento, and it was simply perfect from start to finish. My room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and had the most stunning view of Mount Vesuvius – waking up to that every morning made the holiday truly wonderful. The staff made the experience exceptional. From check-in to departure, every single member of the team was efficient, friendly, and incredibly kind. The reception staff were fantastic – always available, smiling, and ready to help. They gave me so much useful information about trips, buses, and ferry timetables, which made exploring the area so easy. The restaurant staff were equally wonderful – warm, welcoming, and always accommodating. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe here. The staff made me feel so comfortable, allowing me to sit where I wanted and ensuring I always felt relaxed and at ease. Their kindness and attentiveness really made a difference and meant a lot to me. The hotel also provides a regular shuttle bus into Sorrento, which was such an important and useful service. The driver was excellent – safe, reliable, and made the journey up and down the winding roads feel completely secure. I always felt in good hands, which added to the peace of mind of travelling alone. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice and always delicious. The pool area was beautiful and a lovely place to unwind, with breathtaking views all around. The little village, just a few minutes’ walk through the hotel’s gardens, was also a joy to wander to in the evenings. This hotel really made my holiday unforgettable.
