Grand Hotel Hermitage & Villa Romita

Came with a Titan/Saga group trip. Hotel is so very welcoming and staff very friendly Nice that they remember your room number. Has a charming old fashioned feel about it. Room good size , fab floor tiles and view is amazing. Very clean. Bedding could be better , very thin quilt. Food was ok.. some days better than others. Nice walk to san Agata but that’s all you can do. Would have been nice to have some more entertainment, just one eve we had musicians who were very good. Can be very quiet so needs a bit of something.

All staff on reception were fantastic and went out of their way to makes us feel welcome, offering tips and helpful assistance as we needed. The town Sant’Agata is quaint, close and provided all we needed. Didn’t have to travel to Sorrento for a good meal or a delicious coffee and pastry in a local cafe. That part I loved.

As a woman, I was not safe. A staff member was offensive and approached me in an inappropriate manner. Needless to say I reported this. I say no more.

Really enjoyed our stay as great views of Sorrento from our lovely room and the staff are just so friendly and helpful. Being able to walk through the hotel grounds to the lovely village of Sant’ Agata was a bonus as there were plenty of restaurants and shops literally on your doorstep. The hotel shuttle to and from Sorrento meant is was stress free and could go as often as you liked. Food was delicious and nice to have waiter service on the evening. Great value and a lovely family run hotel; we didn’t want to leave.

I have been to this hotel on many occasions but it is always a special pleasure to return. The welcome is warm , friendly and sincere. From the minute you arrive you are relaxed, comfortable and content. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, comfortable and immaculate with a standard of cleanliness that is sublime. The views are spectacular with commanding view of Sorrento and The Bay of Naples in the distance. The setting is in lush greenery and is away from noise and traffic and such. The village of San't Agata which is about 500 meters away is accessed by way of a quiet private pathway from the hotel. This pathway is even provided with wonderful lighting if you happen to be returning from the village late at night, The village is a major plus in choosing this hotel as it has lots of shops, bars, restaurants etc. It's a really friendly place with excellent value for money. The locals drive up park their cars and not only do they not lock them....very often they leave the keys in the ignition.!!! You see it's perfectly safe which is a major factor also. Breakfast is a lavish affair with lots of cereals, cold meats, juices, lots of pastries, eggs, bacon, sausages, breads and wonderful coffee. A feast for everybody. Dinner is served in a beautiful spacious diningroom with immaculately attired and professional staff who go to every length to make sure you have everything you need. A 4 course dinner is stunningly beautiful, varied and of the highest quality with choices for all tastes with wonderful anti pasta dishes and main courses with choices of fish, meats and vegetarian options. Finish of with indulgences at the dessert trolley!!! Wines are reasonably priced and varied and all Italian ....so great quality. The bar is cozy and with some excellent views from the terrace. Access to Sorrento is easy as they have an excellent courtesy bus and also the public bus service stops at the hotel and is regular and inexpensive. There is also an off road pathway opposite the hotel where you can walk to Sorrento with spectacular views on the way. Sorrento is busy with lots of tourists but here you are away from the crowds. This hotel is long established for generations with a proud history in this village. At all times family members such as Gloria, William and Renato are directing affairs. For this reason and the fact that they have such wonderful staff the personal touch is afforded to all guests. When I visited towards the end of September when the season is winding down the hotel was full. This hotel with the adjoining village is The Perfection Choice To Explore This Spectacular Location

Nice traditional hotel high in the hills with views over the bay of Naples and Mount Versuvius.The hotel is about six kilometres from Sorrento but only a short walk from the small town of Sant Agatha.The staff here are friendly,curteous and efficient and can’t do enough for you.The food is great with a very adequate breakfast,and superb evening meal served very professionally in the spotless dining room.All in all we had a great stay.

We would go back for sure - the view from our balcony amazing. The food is the only negative but im also not a fan of european food. The hotel is about a 15 min ride up a winding road so be sure you aren't someone who gets car sick. But once at hotel it's truly beautiful.

One of the best views . The view of Naples Bay is incredible. Perched on the hillside gives one a wonderful view . The staff were great . They sent the shuttle for outside the schedule.would definitely recommend . The Expresso Martini at the bar is sublime.
