Dinner is served 7 nights a week from 6.00pm till 8.30pm. Tasting menu and A La Carte available Tuesday-Saturday. Sunday-Monday A La Carte only. Half board option includes 3 courses of The A La Carte Menu (upgrade to Tasting Menu is available at extra cost). The sitting room/bar closes the door at 11pm.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. Fantastic renovated barns and granary with an excellent restaurant and rooms. Brilliant for those who would like a few days away in a remote part of the Shropshire countryside, but near enough to travel to the many historic towns and attractions.

The staff, the location, the attention to detail. And of course, the food. The chocolate and banana dessert was among the most exciting puds we had ever tasted. Downton is simply one of the most enjoyable and most relaxing places to stay. This was our second visit in five years and if anything it has got even better in that time.
