I really loved the complimentary lollies and coffee in the lobby, such a thoughtful touch. Given the apartments only have one toilet in the bathroom, having additional bathrooms in the hallways was also a great feature. The reception staff were always friendly and welcoming whenever we passed through, whether it was 6am or 11pm.

We didn’t have a tea towel in the room, which made it a bit challenging to stay on top of dishes and keep them clean, so we ended up using a hand towel from the bathroom. The hotel also doesn’t use single-use plastics, so there were no bin bags provided, and there didn’t seem to be a rubbish chute on the floor, which made it harder to dispose of waste as needed. While the bins were emptied daily, travelling as a family it’s helpful to be able to throw rubbish away more immediately. While there is an online ordering system available, most of the extra comforts were unavailable during our stay. Gym equipment was fully rented out, and there were no alternative pillow options as these were also unavailable. Additionally, although there is an adjoining restaurant you can access through reception, room service couldn’t be ordered through the hotel. As a travelling family, this is a really useful option, especially after long days with the kids.

ABsolutely overwhelmed with the warm welcome I received when i stayed here. This was my second stay at this quirky, fun boutique Melbourne hotel and I seriously wouldn't stay anywhere else. The staff are friendly and ever so quick to assist if you have any concerns . On this occasion I had the luxury of staying in the Terrace suite (502) - spacious, clean, colourful, with a balcony looking towards the city (great sunsets) and a kitchen / bathroom equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Each bedroom had a small walk in and the master room had an ensuite and desk. One thing to note, despite being in such a fantastic location, the rooms are sound proof and the block out curtains are great. Practically everything is within walking distance and if not, there is a train station 5 mins up the road and trams close by. Theatres, bars and delicious restaurants all at your finger tips. The only problem ... which one to go to!! Thanks Team LBO for everything! See you soon :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this hotel. It’s not luxurious by any means but it’s quirky and fun and the staff are very friendly. It’s very close to transit and whole host of restaurants a literally steps away.
