We had a fantastic experience at the bar, starting with the warm welcome from the hostess . The food was delicious, well-presented, and full of flavour, with a great variety to choose from. A special mention goes to Thusitha, whose expertly crafted cocktails were the highlight of our evening. Each drink was perfectly balanced and made with great attention to detail. The service throughout was attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. Overall, it was a wonderful dining and bar experience, and we look forward to visiting again soon.

Had a lovely stay. The food and service was excellent . Chef Desus met special request of a favorite curry and the staff - manager Ajith, Vinoli, Madu, prageeth, Ravindran and Thiranya provided excellent service at dining room

I’ve been a proud member of this bar for 30 years, and it never ceases to amaze me! friendly staff specifically Thusitha and Malinda who know you by name and always make you feel welcome. The music sets the perfect mood every time, from lively nights to relaxed evenings and delicious foods. It’s rare to find a place that keeps its charm and quality for decades, but this bar does it effortlessly. This is my favorite spot and enjoy playing pool .

We found ourselves circling the car park on 6 November with hardly a space in sight as we arrived for an evening function at Cinnamon Lakeside. The congestion slowed us down, but the car park team spotted our struggle and stepped in with quiet precision. Thanks to their quick support, we managed to secure a spot and reach the event right on time. A heartfelt salute to the staff who helped us so kindly. Their genuine care added a personal touch that turned a stressful moment into a commendable experience. # 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I always hangout at Cinnamon lakeside. However the new GM ellepola and the F&B Manager Nadun are handling things really well. Always at the hotel looking after the needs of the guests. Also Dinning room manager Ajith is handling the restaurant weill in the busiest times. Kudos to the team...

We strongly recommend this hotel. If you're looking for a large, resort-style hotel in Colombo, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better option than Cinnamon Lakeside - though its sister hotel, Cinnamon Grand, may be comparable or even superior in some respects. Cinnamon Lakeside features three restaurants, a pool bar, a stylish café, and several shops in the basement. The main buffet restaurant is particularly opulent, offering luxuries such as sushi and fresh oysters on the half shell. As with any hotel, there’s always room for improvement. Here are a few constructive observations: 1. Storage Space: Our double room had only two drawers for clothing, which wasn’t nearly enough. As a result, we didn’t bother unpacking our suitcases. 2. Buffet Accompaniments: While the buffet included excellent roast meats (chicken, lamb, pork), there was a noticeable lack of steamed vegetables or potato options - aside from fried potatoes - to accompany them. 3. Lakeside Cleanliness: The lake adjacent to the hotel contains quite a bit of litter. While the hotel isn’t responsible for the entire lake, it could consider regularly cleaning the bank area directly next to the property. This would be a relatively small effort with a noticeable impact on the hotel's surroundings. 4. Dress Code Enforcement: I was disappointed to be asked to leave the games room in the library for not meeting the dress code - I was wearing shorts and sandals. We were about to check out, and all my other clothes were packed in suitcases in the lobby. I simply wanted to play a quick game of pool with my daughter, and there were no other guests in the library at the time. A little flexibility in such situations would go a long way toward enhancing the guest experience.

The staff consistently go above and beyond they remember regulars’ names, favorite drinks, and always greet you with genuine warmth. Whether it’s a busy weekend night or a quiet weekday, the service remains attentive and professional without ever feeling rushed. The bartenders specially Thusitha and Adithya are knowledgeable and take pride in crafting each cocktail to perfection. It’s rare to find a place that balances familiarity and quality so well.
