The Inn at Dromoland

The Hotel is ok. Went for Lunch to give them a shout after reading all the Social Media hype. Please save yourself the bother. The service is appaling. The staff where bad. I ordered chicken wings was told couldnt have on the lunch menu but they could give me 6 wings from the kids menu :). I asked was there franks hot sauce and blue cheese dip with the 6 wings as wasnt hungry. The Waiter told me yes. He then disappeared to be replaced by a very young girl who delivered my wings. When she left I noticed no Blue cheese no celery with the wings. Called her back she looked at me as if I had come to visit from another planet when I asked where was my blu cheese dip. She disappeared as well. Another guy came and I asked him the same question. Yes you got he he disappeared as well. Myself and my friend gave up and went to pay. Asked the original girl why was there no blu cheese and told her we whernt happy. She started crying. I then asked for the manager who arrived a few mins later. His name was Michael. I would have to say I have never ever seen anything like it. He was beyond attrocious. He kept saying we had made the waitress cry. He didnt address our complaints at all and stood with the bill in his hand for full payment even though we said we whernt happy with the food or service. It was like Fawlty Towers. To be honest the Manager no more looked lika a MGR of a hotel than I did. He didnt offer us any reason as to why 3 of our servers disappeared I can only assume they got onto the space ship we got off. He was appaliong no training at all. The staff in McDonalds would have more cop on . Safe as to say we wont return and would advise anyone else to keep driving past it. If your looking for proffesional service you wont get it here.

We arrived to the hotel early afternoon and were greeted warmly by staff. Our family room was spotless, very comfortable and exceptional value for money. We enjoyed the leisure facilities both that evening and the following morning before checkout. We were very pleasantly surprised to be given a goodie bag full of treats for us to share on the evening we arrived. We enjoyed a lovely meal that evening and the hotel team was so helpful and accommodating to my daughter who is coeliac. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We will most definitely be returning.

We stayed in the Rine for 2 nights. All the staff were lovely and so helpful, they were really the highlight of the stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was great. The leisure centre was nice too. The Dromoland gardens behind the hotel were great for walks.

Friendly Hotel, service excellent, food good, amenities maybe a little faded from winter, but access to Dromolland Castle grounds was awesome. Arrived early..but facilitated early check in

Stayed here last weekend with my family, had high hopes as reception staff were absolutely lovely on arrival but all went down hill from there. We went straight to the pool with my 7 and 9 year old and the jacuzzi was out of order ( these things happen) it wasnt until we heard a member berating a staff member that there was issues brought to there attention 2 weeks previous that still werent fixed. He was extremely irate and using obseen lauguage in front of families with young children. We ate in the bar, and the service was terrible, 4 times I had to get up and ask for something we had ordered and not received. 45 minutes waiting for dessert menu and when received my 7 year old son nearly swallowed a piece of plastic found in his ice cream!! The girl dealing with it was lovely but not qualifief to deal with such a serious matter, we did get 20% discount on our food but expected a manager to be involved when my child could have choked. I would not have posted a public review only that i emailed the general manager and was ignored. Will never return.

Room was really far away from reception, room itself was dirty and could definitely do with being painted or wiped to clean the unidentified stains on it. Cobwebs everywhere and window sill dirty. Bteakfast was a joke it took an hour and twn minutes for the chef to send out the pancakes and also the pastries, do ye not serve them until the tour group leaves? We asked the girl manning the buffet would they be served soon as our kids were looking forward to them. Pool showers are cold so you cant shower after pool. My child has allergies I would seriously have to think hard about returning because of the room. Positives are restaurant manager was so friendly and helpful he's a huge asset to the hotel. Kids indoor play center was a huge hit. Look overall for the price we paid it was grand room and breakfast really let it down.

The Rine hotel is bright and spacious with lovely deco. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The bedroom was roomy and beds very comfortable. We had dinner in the bar.. food was great and the style of the bad was really nice. I would highly recommend staying here.
