Amazing from start to finish

Nice hotel with welcoming staff and well located close to Chatsworth House.

Total experience was exemplary, even the weather played along

We only stayed one night but the hotel was in a lovely setting, staff were extremely helpful to our needs, the breakfast was lovely, Couldn't fault it

We stayed at the Cavendish while we visited Chatsworth House. This was the second time we visited and we found the Cavendish to be much more luxurious than our previous lodging. Even in winter the ambiance created by the local environment and the hotel is very pleasant and cosy.

Comfortable, elegant, great location to explore the beauty of CHATSWORTH and enjoy Baslow and its surroundings. A hotel based on excellent customer service.

Wonderful stay as before, excellent location, lovely hotel and views. Staff welcoming and polite. Room(Compton) spacious and extremely clean throughout, especially the bathroom. The only negative, same as our previous visit is the noise you encounter from a room above late night and early morning, it is in the older part of the hotel so we just put up with it for 2 days with disturbed sleep, however if I were going to visit again I would ask for a room in a different part of the hotel.

I saved up for this trip for years, so decided I would splurge a few times on hotels and the Cavendish was one of them. I was not disappointed! The room was huge, beautiful, comfortable, with all amenities, clean and did I mention gorgeous? I had a lovely view, the light was excellent, the bed was heaven. Both restaurants in the hotel served excellent fare with outstanding customer service. The formal dining room was one of the prettiest rooms I have seen, although the chairs were created more for improving one's posture than for comfort. It was a fabulous experience. My reason for staying at this hotel was it's proximity to Chatsworth, An experience far beyond my expectations! The short walk from the hotel was total immersion in beauty and nature; for a photographer, a fabulous opportunity for great photos.

We had a fantastic stay there! The rooms are really nice and with good location and scenery. Food in the restaurant is very fresh and cooked well. Highly recommended!!!

The hotel was everything to be expected - clean and beautifully furnished. The little extras like Chatsworth biscuits, water and tea and coffee in the room were great. The food in the Garden Room restaurant was delicious too. And it's only 15 minutes walk to Chatsworth House. My only complaints would be the pillows were way too hard for my liking... although I guess that is a very personal choice. And they put 2 nights evening meals on the bill when we only had one, although this was immediately rectified before we settled the bill. Overall one of the loveliest hotels I've stayed in!
