"DONT THINK TWICE- BOOK IT"

10.0

Our vacation during Thanksgiving week was an absolute dream. From now on, every trip we take will be compared to this beautiful island and resort. We stayed in a three-bedroom villa with a dedicated butler, and the room was truly incredible—always spotless and perfectly prepared for us. We were even given a cell phone to contact our butlers whenever we needed anything. Jeanneill was our main butler, and he went above and beyond to make this vacation unforgettable. He made us feel like he was part of our family, and his first-class service and hospitality deserve recognition—he truly should be promoted to Manager of Butlers. We miss you Jeanneill!! We were also extremely impressed with the restaurants, great food and variety of choices. Only suggestion is to add another restaurant! Also, please note it is important to tip in cash as we did not know this. One of the servers pointed out that they receive very little of the tip if it’s not in cash. Also, thank you to Ophelia, our second butler, for arranging our private boat experience and making sure my mom had the most incredible 50th birthday. When we returned, the room was beautifully decorated—she truly had an unforgettable celebration, and we appreciate you so much! If you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime island getaway that will exceed your expectations with outstanding service, delicious food, and breathtaking views, this is the place. It is truly unmatched.

"A fabulous stay!"

10.0

We stayed at the Landings and we were wowed. The greatest asset of the place is the people. The Landings is well staffed and EVERYONE from the grounds staff to the wait staff to the front desk and watersports team- were beyond kind and helpful. Just cannot speak highly enough of them and the hospitality that they extended to us. While on boat tours we saw many resorts and visited a few of their beaches. The Landings was by far our favorite. The beach is very quiet and clean. There are two resort approved boat guys who walk the beach and can book a tour for you but there is no pressure. There are a few locals that come to exercise in the water and on weekends, a group of locals came for a cookout and to swim just down from the resort. But at some beaches that we visited there were souvenir stands and people asking us to buy things and boats of tours coming and going- there is nothing like that at The Landings. We felt totally safe leaving our belongings on our chairs while swam. The have huge rings and a dock floating in the swim area. The kids loved them. We enjoyed the sailing, kayaking and paddle boarding and even had a boat pull us on the banana. The beach is clean and there are plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The property is gorgeous. The vegetation is so lush and there are always gardeners upkeeping. They have a great designer. All the furniture is so pretty and relaxing. The upholstery looks brand new. I don’t know how they keep it that way. We ate at the beachfront restaurant once and it was very good. The breakfast was out of this world- a highlight of every day. Fresh local and traditional American friendly breakfast choices, made to order omelets, a new selection every day and an incredible bay view while you eat! Mostly the restaurants were a bit too high priced for us to each lunch and dinner there daily so we picked up groceries and cooked since we had a full kitchen. We had a HUGE three bedroom apartment. The houseekeeping staff is to be commended. The place was spotless. The beds and furniture was very comfortable. The kids loved the splash pool on the patio. The tennis/ pickleball courts were in great shape. Minor downsides: I don’t know what was going on with the kids club but I asked for an activities schedule as a preliminary schedule was provided before arrival and the front desk said they didn’t have one. So we just kept our little one with us. He had plenty to do. We were told there was a teen club but it was closed to “revamp the program” with no projected opening date. Our teens were super busy with the onsite activities anyway. I just kind of doubt the feeling that they are getting geared up for high season. The pools are spread across the property but there are no towels available there and the watersports area where you are supposed to get towels was often out of chair covers and towels. Two out of the three showers in our unit had shower doors that didn’t close all the way so the water leaked on the floor. Not a huge deal, just had to position the bathmat to catch the water.

"Not worth it"

4.0

We booked 5 rooms for 3 nights to attend meetings on the island at $620 per night. The one thing that was excellent about this hotel was the staff, they were welcoming and helpful especially the Concierge. Once in my room I found the shower was broken, the handle came away from the wall and the safe was not working and so called reception. Later after dinner I had to call again as they did not send anyone. He came and fixed the shower, unfortunately I had to call again as there was no hot water. he came again and reset it and I was asked to wait half an hour for the heating to come on. By now it was quite late. The next morning I went to breakfast. The egg station was fine but the rest of it was not at all good. The fruit looked old it was definitely not fresh, the granola was soft and again not fresh, the yoghurt was split. The following day I decided to skip breakfast and get a yoghurt pot from the coffee shop. I had to return it, once opened there was mould all across the strawberries, the lady offered a refund and was clearly embarrassed but again it was not fresh. The strip down the shower door slipped to the floor everyday and was always leaking. For $620 a night I expected better, its is just very tired. We will not be using The Landings again there are better hotels on the island for this price.

"We were scammed - Check your credit card statements"

2.0

Be VERY diligent to check your credit card bills after your stay. When we reviewed our final bill we noticed we were charged for an excursion we didn't do. Their reaction was pretty casual and there was no apology. However, they corrected the bill right away and I paid it with my creditcard. Then, after we already came back home, we noticed that my husband's creditcard was randomly charged for over $1800. We have no idea where that amount came from as it didn't resemble the room charge or the food/excursions bill. It was very strange and we think they tried to scam us. It was very difficult to contact them: they initially gave me an email address that wasn't valid. We finally received the right contact information and they let us know that they will refund it within 5-7 business days. We have yet to confirm this. They apologized but didn't give an explanation why they charged us. Please be careful.

"Good"

6.0

On a positive note, the beach is absolutely beautiful — clean, calm, and wonderfully maintained. The entire property is very well looked after, with lush surroundings and a peaceful atmosphere. Our apartment was extremely comfortable and offered plenty of space for a family of four, which made our stay much more relaxing.

We recently stayed at this property and unfortunately our experience fell short of expectations. While the staff were generally polite, it was very clear that owners were treated far better than guests. Owners were offered a much wider selection of made-to-order dishes in the restaurants, whereas guests were limited to the standard menu — which was disappointing, especially as the food quality was quite poor. Even the basics missed the mark: the coffee was consistently terrible and the breakfast offering felt very sparse and uninspiring. We also had a late outgoing flight so spent the day by the beach. The concierge kindly arranged for us to shower at the spa before leaving, but the experience itself was uncomfortable. The lady working at the spa made it clear she was unhappy about us being there, saying we “shouldn’t really be showering there,” that she had just cleaned, and asking us not to “dirty anything.” It left a sour final impression. In addition, there was very little in terms of entertainment or activities. After a couple of days, the lack of engagement made the stay feel quite boring and repetitive. The watersports team were friendly, but they frequently took long breaks and often appeared unmotivated. Again, priority was consistently given to owners, and the difference in treatment between owners and guests was noticeable. Overall, the setting has potential, but the guest experience needs significant improvement — from the consistency and quality of food and beverage, to the fairness of service, to the professionalism across different parts of the resort.

"Couple’s trip"

10.0

We loved staying at The Landings. It was much more luxurious than we’re used to. In fact, it was probably the fanciest room we’ve ever stayed in. The beach is beautiful, with amazing views. We took the free ferry to the other side and walked along the beach to Pigeon Island. The staff is incredibly friendly. I didn’t catch all their names, but Mem was great to chat with at the bar, and Nazz and Tasha went out of their way to help us book excursions (which wasn’t easy during pre-season). Thank you, ladies, we had a wonderful time!

"Enjoyed every second! Everyone we came in contact with at this resort was friendly, helpful, and genuinely nice people"

10.0

Our room was magnificent, I felt like a King. The grounds are unimaginable. There are four pools, exercise room, the beach was perfect. We took a mixology class, which was great. We learned a lot about rum!! The general manager who I said had a radio voice was great!! The employees were well trained and caring. The butlers were amazing, and wanted us to call them more!! They were really great, I never had a vacation before with this service and you can get spoiled easily. The servers were so good at their jobs and performed excellently. The breakfast was stupendous and they changed it up every day. Kayla stood out as a server that went above her job, and should be in management. Someday maybe we will go back and meet her son. I felt guilty that I left so quickly but I don’t want to tear up!! Again all the butlers were so good at their jobs. They made us all feel special. Special thanks to them all for making our vacation something to remember. I would recommend the Landings to anyone. For us I hope it wasn’t a once in a lifetime adventure. I would hope we can get back there again someday. Epic is what I would call this experience. Thank you all.

"Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, great food and superb beach"

10.0

The resort was immaculately maintained and full of very friendly staff. We arrived after a slightly traumatic taxi ride in which our five year old vomited several times. The staff were so helpful in cleaning him up and letting us off the check in process until the following day (as we had arrived late at night). The two bed villa was extremely spacious and designed to a high specification. More than big enough for a family of three. Whilst we paid for a marina view room, the view was predominately of the sea which was a nice bonus. The food at Suru and Callaloo was excellent, we didn’t have a bad meal. There were plenty of options so needn’t have eaten the same food twice over the course of the week we were there. There were plenty of sun beds around both the pools and beach along with parasols. A lot of the customers were repeat visitors and I can see why. We will certainly be back soon.

There were a few minor issues, most notably that one of the restaurants (The Beach Club) was closed for refurbishment (along with a neighbouring swimming pool). We were alerted to this prior to our visit (albeit after booking) and told that the hotel would waive the room service tray charge ($20 a go) so that we could dine in the room as compensation. Our room overlooked the refurbishment work and there was some building noise but it wasn’t too intrusive. The building work is meant to be complete at the end of November 2025. Not the hotel’s fault but it is an hour and a half taxi ride from the airport so bear that in mind when planning travel.
