"All in all the property was gorgeous. The rooms were excellent. The service was great."

10.0

The property was beautiful. The people that work there were absolutely amazing.

The cost of the food was extremely expensive. I’m a small person so I don’t eat a awful lot of food. All you have was those expensive buffets and then you wanted to charge $20 to the room if you ordered off of the à la carte menu I think you need to have like Small servings that could be served in the common areas that aren’t so expensive Cause we would’ve liked to joy enjoyed the music and happy hours and would’ve spent money on those areas but you restricted that by having such expensive meals so you cost yourself money not only did we not eat with you we did not drink with you either

"Disappointed"

4.0

Property is in a great location but need up provide more luxury for the price. Not enough beach beds no option to buy cabanas so you know you have space. Small pools. Restaurants are mediocre and staff and service were terrible especially if you are black. Other tourist seem to get more attention even if we tipped. The spa was old but the treatments were ok but not organised. I was asked to leave before all my treatments were finished. Really bad and I would not return.

Views from the room were excellent and gym had old equipment but everything you needed.

"Nice accommodations and location, lackluster restaurants and service"

4.0

The rooms were very nice, spacious and well appointed. They're the best thing about the resort. We were able to hike to the national park and Fort Rodney which was a cool thing to do and see.

Food options were pretty limited. There are only 3 restaurants, and at the 2 on the beach, service was very slow. The menus were pretty similar between those 2 as well, and not very common items. If it was a more common item, like a burger, it was modified in unusual ways. The one beach lunch restaurant had a burger on the menu, but couldn't do a cheeseburger. The Asian restaurant was the best experience and food while we were there, service was great and timely. The 3 pools we found, or that were nearby were all pretty small and tucked away between buildings getting mostly shade during the day. They were hardly used by us or anyone else the 3 days that we were there. The overall service at the resort was lacking in that while nobody was rude, most employees seemed indifferent to us. Many more smiles and engagement from the employees at the 2 other resorts we were at in Saint Lucia this trip.

"Brilliant location, beautiful beach, delicious food"

9.0

Beautiful location, we loved our two bedroom beachfront suite with hot tub. Great amount of space for a family with large open plan sitting room and kitchen area. Restaurants were great and had amazing views and delicious food, lovely sunset views. We all enjoyed the watersports and the team there were brilliant, especially Sheldon. Easy boat trip to Rodney Bay for lunch, Pigeon Point only a mile away by road. We did a boat trip to Soufriere which I arranged separately to the hotel and we were collected from the marina - the trip which the hotel concierge was offering required a taxi to Rodney Bay to get on the boat. Also went scuba diving and we were collected from the beach outside the hotel - there are a couple of PADI centres in Rodney Bay who offer this.

The watersports centre closed at 4.30pm and meant no paddle boarding/sailing/kayaking etc just before sunset, but once we'd got the hang of this it didn't matter.

"Our family holiday trip"

6.0

Our recent stay at The Landings Resort & Spa was mixed and ultimately disappointing for what is marketed and priced as a five-star luxury experience. It's not! The first impression was challenging. The transfer from the airport took nearly two hours over a severely potholed road. Taxi fare was approximately $120 each way, which feels excessive given the lack of alternatives. A resort-run, dedicated shuttle service would greatly improve the arrival and departure experience and avoid guests being at the mercy of taxi pricing. The resort staff were consistently courteous and pleasant, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, multiple room maintenance issues detracted significantly from our stay. In our unit, using the shower caused the bathroom to flood and required two service calls to resolve. The patio door lock was inoperable, the armoire housing the television had doors off their tracks and appeared close to detaching, and several light bulbs were not working. More concerning, one member of our party discovered visible mold in their master bedroom. While they were moved to a different unit, the original room was later reoccupied without any apparent remediation, which raises serious concerns about health, safety, and quality control. We also strongly suspected mold in our own bathroom, though it was not visibly apparent. Housekeeping and service consistency were lacking. Despite nightly turndown service being advertised, it was provided only for two out of seven nights. Wi-Fi service was unreliable, with frequent interruptions that made it difficult to depend on at any point during the stay. Breakfast offerings were good, with a wide selection, and the resort does offer many activities geared toward families. However, in the evenings, music played in dining outlets was so loud that normal conversation was difficult, detracting from what should be a relaxed dining atmosphere. A request from one guest in our party for a two-hour late checkout was met with an additional $75 charge, which felt inflexible given the number of service and maintenance issues encountered during the stay. Overall, the recurring theme was poor quality control and insufficient inspection standards. For a resort charging premium rates and positioning itself as five-star, these issues should not occur. While there were positives, they did not outweigh the frustrations. Caveat emptor. The Landings functions better as an upper-mid-range family resort rather than a true five-star luxury destination. Travelers expecting seamless service, pristine accommodations, and premium value would likely be better served at Sugar Beach, Cap Maison, or Jade Mountain, depending on travel style and seeking a true 5-star luxury resort. The Landings is in the lower third of resort options on the island.
