Ramada by Wyndham Sibiu

Great premises, spotless rooms, amazing city view from the windows, very decent house wine, 2 min walk to the historical center. It is a known location for weddings over the weekend. Nevertheless, the rooms are noise proof - did nor hear a thing. Management could A)support employees more and help simplify invocing process at the restaurant ( did not have cash with me and it seemed to be such a headache to switch invoicing from cash to card that i ended up with a short trip to get cash) B) work better with the spa center to offer massage services in the guest's room as well as at the spa. Overall a good stay.

Overall a great hotel - super convenient and close to the old town - totally walkable. However, we were in a more expensive room (Jr Suite) and the wifi was terrible. When I called, they said they'd send someone and no one showed up for 30min...I had to call back and then they said no one was available. I got upset and they sent a coworker from reception who didn't know anything about the IT setup and basically brought me an ethernet cable to try connecting. Not helpful for wireless devices. Luckily I had my dongle. He said the wireless router was too far and the signal wasn't reaching...that is not acceptable at a business/high-end hotel - especially in one of the expensive rooms. Please improve it Ramada!

Me and my husband wanted to spurge on a 4 star hotel for our honeymoon, so we chose the Ramada. We were disappointed In the unwelcoming service. We booked a queen room, when we got to the room it was a twin. When we called down to clarify what we booked the staff memeber said I booked a single twin room and if I wanted an upgrade I would have to pay for it. I said I could show him my confirmation- they ended up moving us rooms to the correct one (and said I didn't need to pay the difference, but it's the one I paid for?) anyway, problem solved but I've received better service from hostels. Poor wifi for such a large hotel chain.

Good location and very clean hotel. We had a bad experience at the restaurant and at the reception: * we ordered 2 glasses of red wine ant they charged us the most expensive from the price list without making us aware and confirming if we agree the prices (there are 3 different prices for the red wine by glass, they dont explain the difference and they do not agree with you the prices they decid to charge) * at the check-out we had to pay an extra 10 Euro for the parking place, without being notified that the parking place is not included in the room rate and without informing us about the prices for outside parking lots and underground parking places. When booking there is only one price for parking (22 RON, but the hotel explained that this is for the outside lots). When we checked, they asked us if we need the parking, without explaining that is extra charge (we paid the room in advance). It is not the value, it is the way this hotel charge the customer without any prior notice and price confirmation.

It was pretty good

We had a very nice and large room. Air conditioning was working well. It was very clean. We had a very nice view over the city. The hotel is located near the Old Town, which is very convenient. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and there was a lot a variety (cold and hot). We would stay again at this hotel in the future. We highly recommend this hotel.
