The Palms at Pelican Cove

My friend and I missed the connecting flight due to air traffic on the runways and pulling into the gates in ATL and we missed the flight. This hotel would not refund our monies. They would not even consider it given we had to cancel our entire trip and wound up returning home.

The pictures in Expedia of the property do not reflect the actual conditions. Area lighting from the main office to the room was non-existent. All the light fixtures were not working and in need of repair or replacement. There was hardly any lighting in the building complex we were in. The ice machine next to our room did not work. The machines in the laundry room did not work. The table inside the room did not have a top. The restaurant did not have many items listed on the menu. The electrical cord for the microwave in our room did not reach the receptacle outlet. The grounds were greatly in need of maintenance and up-keep. Perhaps in better times it was a nice place but was not worth the expense to stay there.

If you have time to cancel do it NOW! What a horrible "resort". Rooms are old and dated. Linen and towels worn and stained. I got a beach towel with a subway logo so worn and stained i wouldn't give it to a dog. Dining room..same dirty tablecloths all week. Coffee don't drink it old probably yesterday's. Food nasty! The grounds are unkempt. Grass is a foot tall. Outdoor lighting broken . Planters are dead plants and weeds. Don't believe the pictures. Shame on Trip Advisor!

Quiet and comfortable

Horrible. The Manager sits down to eat with other employees, while One Young lady tackles the whole lunch rush. The Manager should be locked ing toilets. If the owners are wondering why folks don't come out there.... ITS HER. SHE SUCKS. IMAGINE US WAITING THERE FOR AN HOUR FOR A BURGER. HORRIBLE MANAGING SKILLS. SHE OBVIOUSLY HAS HER FAVORITES AND EFF THE GUEST. WHY IS SHE STILL EMPLOYED THERE. A PARTY OF 10, NO ONE WANTS TO RETURN EVER!!!

The hotel staff were friendly and the room was very clean. The views from the balcony were fantastic. Truly a laid back vibe at the pool and restaurant. Loved that you could sit in the restaurant and the beach was only feet away. The ocean water was warm and crystal clear. It was too choppy to snorkel as much as I wanted, but on the clam days, the reef was easily reachable from the shore.
