The Oaks Waterfront Hotel

Exceptional waterfront property offering beautifully, thoughtfully designed public and guest accommodations. The staff is very welcoming and strived to make our stay relaxing and memorable. This is our new favorite destination in the St. Michael’s area. We look forward to visiting again!

A delightful mid-week get-away from the DC area. Gracious surroundings and staff to match. Classy. We ate dinner one evening at the Oaks restaurant which was elegant but not super expensive. Only wish is that the management speed up their future plan to offer light lunches. It would make staying on site all day perfect.

Staying at the Oaks Waterfront Hotel was a delight. The hotel has gone thru a complete remodel and is clean, calming with soft blue and gray decor and well appointed rooms. The staff treats you like family (the good kind) and attends to your every need. The breakfasts were delicious - eggs benedict or eggs cooked to your wishes. For dinner we had LOTS of oysters - raw & baked along with perfectly prepared halibut; finished off with warm choc chip cookies and ice cream. The Oak Room has a full stocked bar with some well crafted cocktails. The grounds are beautiful - garden still blooming in October plus kayaks, canoes and gearless bikes that were so fun in an old school way. Would love to stay here in the future. Thank you!

Our first time here and will certainly visit again. Wonderful stay in the Waterfront suite. Fabulous deck that overlooks the water. You can see why they have so many weekend weddings in the beautiful maintained landscaping. Loved that we could just grab a kayak and head out on the water at will. Also had very good included breakfasts on the patio and a great dinner experience. Only slight downside is not having a very long walking path area as the nearby street does not have sidewalks. They do have bikes you can use at will.

We had my daughter's wedding at the Oaks this past weekend. We had reception tent on the far lawn adjacent to the water. It was a perfect setting on their immaculately maintained grounds. I was concerned about flowers in the gardens in September but lots of new perennials had been planted and all looked magnificent. All of the guest rooms and cottages are newly renovated and are beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food that was served at cocktail hour was amazing and the dinner was as well. There was a roaring firepit with seating where our guests could cozy up in between dances. I could not think of a better venue for a wedding weekend. At the end of the weekend we were sad to leave but we will definitely look for an excuse to come back again. Thanks to all of the wonderful staff.

Gorgeous property, incredible landscaping, beautiful rooms, lots of decks, chairs by water, absolute delicious breakfast & dinners on the terrace. Kayak, canoe, bikes & paddle boards. Great salt water pool. The staff was extremely accommodating. Just a great tranquil place to go to just relax, eat, drink & enjoy each other. St. Michaels is just 5 minutes away to shop or just go eat. We had wonderful experience.

The Oaks Waterfront Hotel is an excellent place to stay. Beautiful, quaint, and tranquil. Perfect location for a relaxing time by or on the water. The rooms and grounds are beautiful. Amenities very nice. Service was excellent. Linda, Monica and Joe were very helpful. Linda and Monica made dinner reservations for us. We enjoyed a casual and fun dinner at the Crab Claw restaurant on the bay and a delicious dinner at the Ruse in St. Michaels. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. So delightful to eat out on the enclosed porch. We appreciated the free use of bikes, paddle boards and kayaks.

Gorgeous clean property, stunning location & comfy bed! Worth every penny and we will stay again!
