Older hotel, quiet, good sized room. May need a few updates.

We enjoyed the mid century vibe of the place but it is in serious need of a facelift or at least a good sprucing up. But to be fair, there were work crews on-site making repairs so maybe a renovation is in the works? Everything worked and the experience was just about what we expected for what we paid. It met our needs and the Mexican restaurant just across the parking lot was very handy and not bad.

The room was large and clean

I goofed and booked the wrong date for our stay but eventually got it straitened out. Charles Wesley Lodge is kind of old but has an old fashioned, rustic feel to it. The walls are wooden planks. Our room had a fridge, a microwave and 2 queen sized beds. They were very comfortable and I got a good night’s sleep. The beds had blankets and bedspreads, which I like. On the bad side, we were on the bottom floor and you could hear every creaking footstep of the people in the room above us. We were in room #140. Our room was at the end of the building. There was a small step at the end of the walkway. People’s suitcases and the cleaning lady’s cart would make a loud clump every time they hit the step. The next morning the cleaning lady knocked on our door at 8:30am to see if we were still there, which we didn’t appreciate since we weren't up yet. I was going to give the lodge 3 stars, but since I got a very good night's sleep I'm giving it 4 stars.
