The stay was probably the smoothest checkin and checkout process I’ve ever had! Everything was clean, service was friendly and the overall stay had a perfect home-like feel. Loved the breakfast addition and would most definitely stay again!

The hosts were super and very friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was great and we enjoyed being able to walk to all the attractions and restaurants in Mendocino. The property was beautiful with wonderful flowers and a great outdoor space to enjoy.

Great location and wonderful hosts! The room was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we needed and more. The fire-pit with s'mores on a cold summer night was lovely and the breakfast in the morning was fresh and delicious. very short walk to the ocean and the restaurants near by.

Beautiful Joshua Grindle Inn! We had the Library. We wanted to just stay in the room. It had a fireplace, shelves of great books including that of Picasso’s sketchbooks and diaries. The two lace-curtained windows faced two flowering pink rhododendron trees with a garden bench. The bathroom was well appointed. The bed was a luxurious four-posted victorian. Sleep was so comfortable. Adjacent to our room was the beautiful parlor with antique victorian furniture. Had tea there a couple times. The blooming flower garden of the inn faced the hills blanketed with pine trees. The breakfast experience was wonderful. We looked forward to it. The French toast casserole and the quiche were delicious and conversation with both the cook and the inn-keeper was very nice. We plan to stay there again next year. This inn definitely contributed to this memory-filled visit of beautiful Mendocino.

Completely satisfied in every way. Our only possible complaint is that the breakfast could have been a bit better.

Host's are very friendly and welcoming. Lovely light breakfast and great tips on things to see and places to eat. We'll be back again.
