The Ira Allen House offers comfortable accommodations that are more “homey” than any hotel. From the 200-year-old charm of the house to the wonderful innkeepers, Michael and Kevin, every aspect of our stay was exceptional. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast featured ingredients from local farms whenever possible. We will certainly be back, and we highly recommend the Ira Allen House to all who may be seeking a place to stay while traveling to the Manchester, Vermont Area.

Magnificent little gem just south of Manchester Vt. Everything from the warm, friendly greeting and cookies to an exquisite breakfast made this a wonderful stop on our trip. The owners have taken great care with every detail to welcome guests to their beautiful space. It is located near so many wonderful things to do whether shopping or an outdoor experience.

A marvelous place that immersed us in early US history and drew up happy childhood memories of my grandparents' home. Mike and Kevin were the epitome of hospitality; their love of the inn was reflected in everything they did to make our stay an outstanding experience.

One of the best B&Bs we've stayed at. The host/inkeeper was attentive, super friendly and wonderful. We loved the history of the house and breakfast was phenomenal everyday! No joke! We plan to stay here again if we get a chance to go back to Manchester, VT. Thank you for making us feel like home.

We've vacationed in the Manchester area for years but the Ira Allen House provided the most memorable and welcoming stay. Michael and Kevin provided delicious breakfast every morning; pancakes, waffles, yogurt with homemade strawberry rhubarb compote, each bite contending for top billing. The house is quaint and cozy, decorated wonderfully as a New England antique style home. Our room was comfortable and allowed for our children to share an adjoining room with a bathroom, while our room afforded us the option to have a living room area for board games, watching TV, etc. As an added bonus, the grounds had games (croquet, horseshoes, bocce) which allowed for our children to run off some energy while my wife and I relaxed and watched from the Adirondack chairs that overlooked the pond. It was a great long weekend and we will absolutely stay again on our next trip to Vermont!

Accommodations were authentic, cozy, and comfortable. Michael was welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Best of all, breakfast each day was different and awesome!

The Ira Allen house is a very old unique small house.

I enjoyed a wonderful over-night at the Ira Allen house! The decor was timeless and tasteful, the location quaint, and hospitality phenomenal. Will absolutely recommend this to friends, and look forward to staying again when I am visiting the area.
