Friendly host, beautiful old colonial house, great breakfast and a comfortable bed!

Beautiful old home! Mike was a great host. Always asking if we needed anything. Breakfast was delicious every day! Nice 1 mile trail across the street.

Michael and Kevin have a jewel of a house - super charming and hospitable. Their breakfast is amazing, they are so friendly and hospitable. The Ira Allen house certainly tells the tale of its age, and is a quaint and charming getaway in VT.

Really enjoyed our stst

This is a wonderful, historic B&B that met our needs perfectly. Our room was small, but quite comfortable. The proprietors are friendly and attentive. They prepared delicious full breakfasts each day, using primarily locally sourced foods. Fresh baked cookies greeted us upon our arrival in the cozy living area on the first floor. The large park-like area across the street, extending to the Battenkill River and containg Adirondack chairs, a gazebo, and a fire pit, is also part of the property.

An amazing B&B. The house is a piece of American history. The Battenkill is across the street. Everything was comfortable and relaxed. The breakfast was fantastic. But it was Mike's hospitality that shined. We have been to a lot of B&B in this country and Ireland; the Ira Allen House rates right up with the best.

I stayed overnight because I was in town for work. Even though it was raining, the Wi-Fi worked great and I was able to work form form room. The room was very comfortable and clean. There was a coffee and tea station in hallway outside my room. Breakfast was served in a very quaint room with exposed beams and a cast iron stove. Food was delicious and locally sourced. Staff was friendly, very accommodating, and helpful. I will definitely stay there again!

Mike and Kevin are absolutely lovely... Warm and welcoming. The inn is gorgeous. I will be back!

Comfortable historic home with great furnishings and decorations. Friendly innkeeper. Worth a walk across the road to the creek. Highly recommended.
