The Ira Allen House

My wife and I decided to get away at the last minute looking for a break in the routine. We felt welcome from the moment we walked in with warm Christmas cookies, a lovely sitting room with a fire and a comfortable room with its own working fireplace. Breakfast also amazing with locally sourced organic ingredients and excellent service. We'll certainly plan on visiting again and highly recommend the Ira Allen Inn!

The Ira Allen House is lovely and welcoming. Mike and Kevin are wonderful hosts; I was especially touched that they went out of their way to get special ingredients for breakfast that would accommodate my allergies. Breakfast was delicious. We loved the vibe of the house, which is charming and cozy - especially with the extra touches like home-baked cookies and friendly fellow guests. We will return!

We just LOVED the quaint and homey feel with all of the vintage artifacts to take in. Plus the right-in-nature setting. Just perfect for our fall foliage romantic getaway! Mike’s hospitality was great and the breakfasts were top rate with a real farm-to-table aspect. Location was great for exploring all great southern Vermont places to see and things to do. Very satisfied!,,

The Inn was very nice and comfortable. Our room, Ethans room was small, only complaint. The host Michael, made up for, it he is very personable, sweet and a great cook. His amazing breakfasts keep us full till dinner. He sang Happy Birthday to me on his Steinway Piano and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely go back.

We had a great experience at the Ira Allen house. If you are looking for something with an authentic B&B feel this is the place. Mike was super attentive and accommodating, and his breakfast is to die for!

Excellent all-around experience. Breakfast was divine and Michael was the consummate host. Would visit again with no hesitation!
