Hotel Daedalus

The hotel is in a great location, a short walk to the main square in Fira and to the sunset views. It is on a narrow, relatively busy street but it didn't bother me and is still pretty quiet. The pool area is very, very nice and the hotel staff was extraordinarily kind and helpful. The room was nice and clean, as was the bathroom. During our stay in Greece we stayed in a fancy cliff side hotel in Santorini for 3 nights, then went to another island, Milos, for 3 nights and only needed a hotel for a short stay before catching our flight back from Santorini. For the money, this hotel is amazing value and I would definitely stay here again and save myself a couple hundred dollars a night and walk to see the sunset instead!

The room was small with a tiny shower, but renovated and with a balcony and gorgeous view. I can't say enough good things about the people who work at the hotel. Also the location is perfect.

Great location in the city, NO WASH CLOTHS to bathe your body. Front desk staff isn’t that welcoming. But good location, walking distance into town

We absolutely loved this hotel! The staff was all so friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, close to many shops, restaurants and the bus station! Loved the pool and the breakfast was delicious. We would absolutely stay here again! Highly recommend!

We stayed here over a weekend as a base for our Santorini vacation. We liked the location of the hotel: only a few minutes from the Fira bus depot, which gives you cheap access to the entire island. If you're able to plan your own activities, this hotel will pay off in spades. The tap water in Fira is not potable, but they include several bottles with the room. If you want more (or anything else, for that matter) there is a super market literally across the street. We enjoyed relaxing at the pool with some cheap Heineken from the market (Crazy Donkey is MUCH better, but you have to find that elsewhere... Heine is good for pool-side suds). They do have a pool bar... So you can always just get it at the pool if you can't walk across the street. The breakfast is amazing and, again, an absolute value of an inclusion. Excellent variety that reminds me of must American buffet breakfasts. It was more than enough to fuel us for the Fira to Oia walk (DO THIS!). It's also only a block or so from the central bus depot. You can literally go anywhere on the island for a euro or two. The rooms themselves are clean and recently renovated.
