Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden

Die Anlage war sehr schön. Das Apartment gut ausgestattet mit tollem Blick.

Es war super voll. Essen immer dasselbe und das Personal, bis auf einen jungen Mann, sehr unfreundlich. Der Frühstücksraum war so schlecht organisiert, dass man mit 3-4 Personen kaum einen Platz bekam.

El jardín, la vista desde la habitación, la tranquilidad. Los masajes que contratamos muy buenos y el personal muy atento.

Creo que a la parte del spa le vendría bien una reforma y modernizarla. La recepción del spa tiene un espacio enorme e infrautilizado que siempre está vacía mientras que en los vestuarios no caben ni tres personas a la vez.

Appartment hat feucht gerochen. Kleiner Wasserschaden war sichtbar. Der Wellnessbereich war nicht sehr gemütlich.

The grounds throughout the hotel are gorgeous and well maintained. If you want a place that feels like a jungle, this is the place for you. We got upgraded to a larger room with an ocean view which was amazing. Close to a little cafe with local baked goods and real coffee. Very walk-able to restaurants within the town. Hairdryer came with a diffuser for us curly-haired ladies.

First, the included breakfast was not up to par with the rest of the breakfasts I have had in Europe. The coffee came from a machine and tasted awful. If you want real coffee from an espresso maker and barista you have to pay 3.50 euros and that was not good either. They lacked fresh jams/marmalades and the selection was just subpar for the buffet. Wait staff was not friendly. Feels very discount. Then the parking was not free and cost 6 euros and half the time we had to park in some parking garage because it was too full. The spa was nothing special. It has a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, and a cold plunge, but no view, and did not feel very serene especially since it is not included and have you have to pay 23 euros per person to use it PER DAY. Our room was really okay, the location is too close to the main highway so once outside all you hear is road noise. The shower door needed some grease as it made it this horrible squeak when opening and closing. We had an issue with ants near the coffee machine, there is no conditioner so ladies be prepared to walk up the road to the grocery store. They state that at departure you will get some seedling of a bird of paradise or other plant and I did not receive any when checking out.

Spa needs upgrading but still a very good massage

I especially love the beautifully tended botanical garden at Quinta Splendida. This is at least my fifth stay on Madeira at the hotel.
