Maldron Hotel Tallaght

The price, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. The beds were quite comfortable, and the room (family suite) was adequate for our family size.

There is no A/C, and we didn't find the portable fans in the room until the last night. It's location is not the best if you want to see all the things downtown Dublin. You definitely spend too much time in transit

The rooms were very hot. Would have loved to have opened the balcony door or had a fan. We opened the window but it didn't do much to help. The pool was hard to find and once through double doors we couldn't find where to get towels. We couldn't find anyone to ask.

Staff at reception were very nice. Check in process was good. We were able to leave our luggage into the hotel prior to check in.

Rooms and corridors extremely hot. At breakfast everyone was waiting around for the food to come out for about 15 minutes waiting for some sausages. Milk and OJ ran out, took a while to replace. Loads of people including us were at reception at 10am as the hotel deactivated our room keys. I mentioned all of this to reception and he did say sorry but that was it. Bedroom was too hot to be comfortable and bed was terrible. There was a fan in the room but it was dusty and mouldy!

It’s not safe I had someone walking into my room lucky it was a little girl but its still nkt safe I complained to the manager but he done nothing about it

I went for lunch with my sister in law today. We have 2 salads, no drinks. The bill was 38 euro. For 2 bowls of lettuce, cheese and croutons. Disgrace. I wrote a very positive review about the place before but i will be taking it down. I feel totally robbed.

well furnished and comfortable rooms, very clean, good parking. Good breakfast, generally friendly staff.

reception said pool closed at 9pm, but the pool staff said 8.30pm so i was not allowed in at 8.10pm. frustrating as this is main reason i booked this hotel. Staff in the restaurant range from excellent to hmmmm.. i had to wait a few minutes to be seated, without even being acknowledged, then i had to request the table i was given to be cleaned from the person seated before me. the waiter didnt take anything off the table to clean it, just wiped a circle where i was sitting. usually service is much better than this. It wasn't a busy evening. Note no air con in rooms, they leave a fan, which is fine, but it means you need to leave the window open on warm nights and the traffic is noisy.

The reception at check in was welcoming but that was a bout as good as it got. The rooms are dated with no AC and my room was extremely hot on the top floor. You couldn’t really have your window open as the hotel is located on the crossroads of an extremely busy road. There is nothing g near this hotel so don’t bother attempting to go out. Food in the restaurant was average at best. My chicken and mushroom pasta dish was extremely salty with 2 tiny pieces of burnt garlic read - very disappointing. It’s a few years this I’ve seen a bathroom with a shower over the bath with a shower curtain- awful ! No fridge in the room but you are left 2 bottles of complimentary luke warm water. I stayed here for a business meeting but not sure why else you would stay here as it’s 45 minutes back into Dublin.
