Hotel Campanile Dijon Centre - Gare

Great hotel, worked well for our stay in Dijon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Hotel was remodeled at the time of our stay. No information was put out about that fact. Most everything was dusty and the construction noise startet early in the morning. I requested a price reduction (as it was stated on the desk of the improvised check-in). However, this was not meant for Hotels.com customers. A refund form was filled out. The Management was out of reach and left the poor clerk alone to deal with customers that were not very happy. However, to this date nothing has happened. Certainly the low point of a two week trip in France.

The photos on the website are very misleading as the room we were in was extremely poorly located. We were on the 1st floor. Our room was not on the street side but in the back side of the hotel. The view out our window was of the back of the hotel, view of building in back, with a cracked dirty skylight the major point. Several persons were right outside our window having a smoke break so we did not open the curtain to get some light. Room was very minimally furnished and the bed was very low off the floor. While it was close to the train station and the tourist areas I would not recommend this hotel.

The staff was unfriendly and incompetent. They tried to charge me twice for the room tax (when we arrived and when we left) and tried to make us pay for breakfast that we did not have. There was no Wi-Fi, as claimed, and nobody to fix it on the first day. There was a make-believe air conditioner that only blew around hot air already in the room. TV remote did not work, no fridge and no safe. The hair dried switched off after 5 seconds because of overheating. Tiny room with 3 beds in it. Tram noise all day and night. Renovation noise and dirt everywhere in the hallways and temporary entrance through a brasserie.

the staff was courteous. The hotel itself was a little tired and needed new carpet, etc. The breakfast was a great deal.

Place was under renovation when I got there, so view from window was a bit obscured. This wasent a problem for me, as I was only in the room for sleeping and showering. Staff were very helpful and gave me some great tips of where to shop. Location is perfect, close to food, train and shops. I really enjoyed staying here.

Great location, just look right when you leave the train station and its a 1 min walk. The room was modern and comfortable. I couldn't find any faults, although if you are a light sleeper be aware the trams will probably go past below your window 7am - 10pm (approx). They're not that noisy though and you cant hear the trains at all.

Close to train station, convenient for traveling but made for noisy nights from drunks, homeless etc. hanging out at the station over night. Reconstruction going on during our stay meant curtains over the scaffolding outside our room offering no view out. No staff on duty at night to stop the hooligans banging the plastic sheeting around the scaffolding outside at 2 am

Hotel is situated close to the Train Station and Trams stop close by. Walking distance to the city center. Room is comfortable and with such a good price, could not be asked for more! The only downside is you could hear the tram running even though it has passed midnight.
