"Great staff, very clean and comfortable. Delicious food."

10.0

The staff was super friendly and caring. Very attentive and respectful. The room had a very big bed, felt very luxurious. They provided a kettle, a mini fridge, plenty of toiletries, drinking water, and a delicious treat every night, that was a super nice touch. They do an evening turnover too. The pool temp. was 87 degrees, a bit too cold for me, it is a very small pool, just to refresh. The restaurant was great, even though the prices are not cheap, the food was always spectacular. The included breakfast had two options, one basket of bread and a healthy one. The portions are very small but I think the Healthy option was the best. No buffet style. The hotel has very luxurious villas too, I stayed in a regular room. We chose this hotel because we wanted to go to the Guatemalan Mayan Ruins, and from here it was about 3 hours, but the border is just 10 minutes away.

There is no stores nearby, there is no walking distance anything, the heat is too much and the street outside the hotel is a big avenue. It is about 10 minutes to San Ignacio by car or about 40 minutes walking. The prices for the tours at the hotel are insane. They almost double the prices compare to the tours in San Ignacio downtown, same tours. Everything you spend has an added 10% service fee and a 12.5% government fee. There was no hairdryer in the bathroom. There are no USB outlets by the bed.

"Not up to 4 star standards. Overpriced for the quality"

6.0

The rooms were clean and the beds were really comfy

Definitely not as high end as they claim to be. Meal prices were excessively high for the quality & quantity of food served. Just mediocre. The “included breakfast” was a joke. 2 pieces of dry toast (no butter or jam), and a teeny tiny scoop of eggs with 2 mini slices of fruit. We also preordered the night before extra items: oatmeal & and omelette without milk or cheese. Both came with milk & cheese.

"Secluded Villa, Private Pool, and Friendly Staff Made Our Visit Great"

10.0

We had a great time at Ka’ana. The two bedroom villa was beautiful and perfect for a family of 4 or 5. The kids loved the private pool. The highlights included our tour guides, Brandon and Eddie, who made sure we enjoyed our canoeing and hike through Mayan ruins. Freddie made sure the Super Bowl was streaming at the lounge. The hotel staff arranged all our transportation, which made the trip care-free. The property felt clean and secluded, and is located a close drive from several popular tourist attractions. They’re building 4 or 5 new villas that look like they’ll be spectacular. As a bonus, we strolled through their lush garden.
