Nice soap rather than supermarket brand

The Highlights: Our stay at The Legacy Rose and Crown was a wonderful trip back in time. The location is unbeatable—waking up to the view of the Salisbury Cathedral across the river is truly a magical experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. We stayed in a room on the ground floor, which offered easy access and lovely views. However, there are two things to keep in mind regarding sound: ​Events: There was a wedding on Saturday night. Since the hotel is a popular venue, you can definitely hear the music and the celebration. If you are someone who likes to go to bed early in total silence, this might be a challenge, but for us, it just added to the lively, happy atmosphere of the hotel. ​Structural Sound: Being an older, historic building, the acoustic insulation between floors is quite thin. We could hear footsteps and movement from the guests staying above us. ​The Verdict: I want to emphasize that if you aren't sensitive to noise or floorboards creaking, these points aren't negatives at all. It’s simply part of the character of staying in a 13th-century coaching inn. However, if you are a very light sleeper, you might want to request a room on the top floor or away from the function suites. ​We would definitely stay here again for the history and the hospitality!
