"Not a place I will return to."

2.0

The hotel was very outdated. The carpet was disgusting. Once in the room I really did not want to stay but did not have any other options of somewhere to go. My daughter and I made the most of it, but this is not a place I will ever return to. The only positive thing was the man at the counter was welcoming and the Live Friday Night event was within walking distance and was a fun thing to do.

"conveniently close to 'old town'."

8.0

We like attending the Cloverdale Friday Night Live events but its a 1 &1/2 hour drive home so we like staying at Cloverdale Oaks Inn, just a block away to the event. We stay in the 'back' where it is always quiet, and walk to our favorite french/american cafe for breakfast in the morning.

"Very over priced for basic Hostel like facilities."

Breakfast is not included as advertised. Manager is rude and unhelpful. I highly recommend avoiding this place. It is not worth the price they charge. It is the kind of place I would expect to stay cheaply in a third world country.

"Dont stay here"

2.0

I booked this stay through hotels.com at the last minute. Not only would I never stay here, but I will also never use hotels.com again. Filthy, smoky, previous guests items in shower, chain link fences, most of hotel appeared abandoned. I agree with others who recommend staying in your car.

"Believe all the reviews"

2.0

This was the only motel in the area where we could book a dog friendly room. It was $97 plus $30 dog fee plus tax on a Saturday night. The room is the very definition of deferred maintenance. While housekeeping had changed the linens and vacuumed the floor, everything was dingy, bathroom window was boarded up and the sill was dirty. The toilet was in a narrow concrete block cell. My wife promises a divorce if I even think about staying here again.

"tired canadian not thinking straight"

2.0

Me and my best half were road triping thru the US and while on the return to Vancouver via route 101 we were dog tired after a fun day in San Francisco. We headed out of town thinking the city prices would be hefty so when the eyes started drooping we pulled into Cloverdale CA and found the only pet friendly joint in town, enterd the lobby half asleep and asked politely if there was room at the inn tonight and was grufly replied to with a grunting yes(this is at 945 pm not in the middle of the night), o well i needed a bed not a happy companion so on to the next thing he grunts out $82 plus tax so in my tired stupidity i had over the cc pay the man and get the key w/o checking the room first, i now realize the mean grump thing is probably a tactic to make sure u dont disturb him after the office closes because once i saw the room i wanted to do just that but was intimidated by his demeanor. So grin and bare it we did the better half takes our disinfecting wipes and goes to town on any surface we touch and strips the bed and put our clean sheets on and we get a few hours rest and hightail it outta there in the morn. Do not stay here!! your car would be better if u cant drive any longer The guy should be ashamed to charge 82 bux for this dump, i've stayed at cleaner dumps for half the price. I'll qualify this by adding we are not high maint. motel users and can handle dirt but this joint is beyond dirt its grunge!!!!

"ROACHES!!!!!!"

2.0

My Friend and I decided last minute to attend the Dry-Creek Valley passport weekend the last weekend of April 2014. There weren't any rooms available for under $600 so we decided to give this place a go. We were a little skeptical but thought, hey, how bad can it be. Well, BAD, It's really BAD. The room we were assigned to was very dark, dated and while picked up, it wasn't clean by any measure. The bathroom walls had old stains, the shower was moldy, the carpeting was gross and the beds looked like they were from 1960. The bedspreads were old and worn, the sheets not clean (thank god I brought a sleeping bag). The room smelled like a crime scene and pure sadness to be honest. We were so tired after a day in the wine country that we made a the horrible decision to just suck it up. We didn't really sleep well because of the smell, but slept even worse when I looked over at my friends bed and there was a ROACH crawling on her bedspread. I screamed, we jumped up and literally beat feet out of there at 6:30 in the morning. We drove to Starbucks, sat in the lobby for hours until our tour started at 11:00. This place is not sanitary and actually should be closed down by the motel police ( I know there is no such thing but there should be for this place alone). Don't make the mistake we did, if you are desperate, sleep in your car, you will be much better off.

"Avoid unless desparate for pet accommodation"

4.0

Only pet friendly motel in town. Bathroom old and baseboards coming apart from walls. Can't get ice except from office between 9 AM and 10PM. I stopped at office at 8:53 A M on way out and was told I could not get ice until 9. And there were hardly any guests at the motel this time of year. Lousy customer service. Avoid if you can.

"Nice location, poor experience."

4.0

Coverdale Oaks Inn $85+tax Brick construction buildings, brick interior, whitewashed, minimal upgrades. Takes pets in some rooms. I would not want to stay there again by choice. Very drab. No outlets readily available, had to unplug microwave and use our multi outlet extension. Shower stall was enclosed in the middle of the room. Shower head was very low, maybe 5 feet high, so any normal person has to bens or stoop down to wash their hair. Normally in a hotel, I will take longer in a shower because I don't have to worry about cost of water. Here, I couldn't wait to get out because of the small, dark, low water source made it vey uncomfortable to use. Carpet and corners of the room were dirty. For the same price I could get a room at nearly any other place with far nicer accommodations. I recommend avoiding this establishment.

"Looks like a crack house..."

2.0

My wife and I booked a room through Booking.com and it looked nice enough online. Upon getting there, and without a cancellation option, we were taken aback by the run down and neglected look of the place. We're talking 'UGLY' here...no pride in the place whatsoever with peeling paint and shabby exterior. The man at the desk was pretty unimpressive and didn't care if we were there or not it seemed. Upon getting into the room it didn't get much better. The bathroom floor was disgusting, the nasty showerhead was armpit high, the drain cover in the shower was loose and I almost cut my toe on it, the knobs and faucets were already cheap looking when they were new probably 10 years ago, the plexiglass shelf above the sink sagged when you put my mouthwash bottle on it and the cheap foam blanket had cigarette burns on it. Overall it was a yucky place worth about 1/3 the asking price.
