"Bliss at the Grove "

Perfect stay. The service was tip top, the bedrooms and facilities first class and the Indian restaurant was fabulous. The weather was beautiful and it was the nicest pool I’ve ever been in, it was so warm and the lunch around the pool was the highest quality and lots of choice. I didn’t feel I was in Watford it was like an oasis.

What a wonderful trip. Last before we are expecting a baby. I’d told them that and they tailored everything to suit our needs. Superb service and beautiful hotel/ surroundings

Standard room nice but a bit basic for this class if hotel. No mirror in bedroom? Nothing wrong and main areas of hotel are just stunning.

"Lacking Attention to Detail"

This could be a nice property but whether it is due to COVID 19 or other factors, it is lacking somewhat. The grounds are nice and the 4-mile circular bike route is a treat, but too many other factors need to be addressed. Calls to Room Service, Guest Services and even the Operator(!) ring endlessly and go unanswered. The main restaurant, The Glasshouse, has a very limited menu of relatively bland food and a weak wine list. We stayed in the West Wing and, while our room was very spacious and well-appointed, the hallways are lined with terribly designed closets featuring large protruding hinges. Like so many aspects of the hotel, this could have been done much better.

Beautiful building with beautiful surroundings. Indoors greets you with lovely warm atmosphere. The staff are all very friendly and always smiling making your stay welcoming. Had an amazing spa treat at Sequoia Spa.....although a little pricey! Dinner at The Stables Restaurant was of the best quality and everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Buffet breakfast at The Glasshouse Is really something to experience. Abundance in variety and extremely fresh. I wouldn’t hesitate a moment to visit The Grove again.

Great visit! The grounds are beautiful and the breakfast is delicious. We didn’t try the spa but the movies on the lawn are a lot of fun!

"Major letdown due to certain staff members"

Trip ruined by the incompetence and rudeness of certain staff members. Check-in only available at 4 pm without even an apology. Then had an unknown man enter the bedroom where my baby daughter was sleeping as the front desk had mixed up the rooms, rather than an apology the duty manager accused us of being in the wrong room! Further, a leaking AC with a strong dripping sound throughout the night was an additional bonus.
