Signature Inn Berkeley

Property was very nice and clean and the staff was very nice! Property included parking as well so that was a huge relief! Stayed here for a concert and thought it was cool that the staff also played music from the band too. When we checked out and got in the car staff was already in the room cleaning so it's nice to see they care

The hotel is clean. The rooms have a microwave, a small refrigerator, a bathtub, and comfortable beds with several pillows. It is located near the BART station and UC Berkeley. There are several restaurants, bars, and supermarkets in the surrounding area

The hotel does not include breakfast; they only offer some fruit and coffee at the front desk, although they don’t inform you that it’s available. Some features need updating, such as the air conditioning and the phone, but they still work, so nothing is serious enough to make the hotel not recommendable

Unfortunately, our hotel room was very dirty and poorly maintained. For the price we paid it was ridiculous. Ill fitted sheets, broken handles on drawers, broken shelf, broken shower handle, gross stains and splatters on wall that looked like boogers and a cockroach to top it off. Staff didn’t care at all when we brought up our concerns. Very suspicious of all the five star reviews.

Location was good. The bedding seemed clean but marked up.

When we got to our room, I went to put the key in the door and it was already open. That was a little scary the smell of urine or something that smelled like urine coming through the air conditioner was not great.

Rooms and bathrooms are really small.

The '50's vintage vibe is cute. Free parking is a plus.

I'll sacrifice a sports bar sized TV and ironing board for a clean bathroom. There is no excuse for moldy grout in a tiled shower and this one was horrifying. Management should be ashamed to offer that room to anyone.
