Signature Inn Berkeley

Paid $150 to stay one night on a hot day in room 207. Left the AC running, but it was weak and the small room was still warm when I returned after dinner. As the night cool down, the AC kicked in stronger. There were 2 fist-sized stains on the blanket so that didn’t feel too good. All the USB ports in the room were non-functioning but the attendant lent me his laptop charger for the night. Water pressure was decent, but there was a little bit of reddish mildew around the tiles. Free parking was a plus and there wasn’t any loud activity even though it was a Saturday night. It wasn’t a BAD experience, but I think I’ll pay a little more for a better hotel in the future.

Well-tended, convenient property. Concierge was available at any time i needed one. Close to downtown and restaurants.

Provided water as needed. Staff was very helpful. Keycards kept disconnecting from doors and had to be reset frequently.

The exterior of the motel is cute and inviting. Our room was small but clean and just fine for one night. The only disappointment was that the AC in our room didnt work. The location is super convenient and I appreciated the free parking.

Clean rooms, convenient area to walk or catch public transportation . Nice and friendly staff-I will definitely stay again at this property.

Water to building was shut off from 9pm to 6am based on notice left on door. I left at 7am and water was still off so unable to shower. Staff did not offer any type of refund. I requested a partial refund with a request for a phone call later in day to confirm. Staff did not call me. I called the next day and they ultimately gave me 50% off the second night but I should not have had to request the refund.

My stay was sbsolutely fine. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The AC was great! The room had a touch of musty smell, which cleared up after I ran the air for a bit. The over all feel of the room is a bit worn out, though CLEAN. So if you don't care about crisp renovated rooms, this Inn is fine. The staff was kind. The location, great! And I only needed the room to sleep.
