Signature Inn Berkeley

The property was well maintained, clean and affordable.

The room was clean, comfortable and convenient. AC unit was terribly loud and the room wasn’t ready until an hour after check-in.

Our stay was pleasant, as were the staff. Although recently renovated, the bathroom had only been painted so steel fittings were old and rusty, and the grout/sealant needed bleaching as it had black mould on it. Most of the charging points and some sockets were not working, or had the tiniest charge going into them - not enough to actually charge a phone. A couple of queries prior to our stay went unanswered. There is not enough parking for one car per room. No breakfast is available though there’s a breakfast restaurant across the street. The bed was comfy and the linens clean. Price was the main driver for us and it is inexpensive for Berkeley.

The room was very clean, not large but really nicely appointed. The area was good, walked to the Greek Theatre and to restaurants. Overall for the price it was a very good hotel and convenient.

The young gentlemen at the front desk were exceptional! I did not get the same from the older gent who came the next day. He seemed to have bias level service. Unfortunate, because the younger front desk staff weren't so.

See my comment above. I'd specifically asked before booking if they would allow bags to be held after checkout for a few hours & was told yes. Then that next day was told by the older gent that they didn't have space in the back room. Yet later I saw a long checked out person come into the reception & his bags were nicely brought to him from the backroom.
