Royal Islander Hotel

No towels in the room . Bed is very uncomfortable. I had to pay cash upon check in even though i booked via Expedia. Front desk agent was arguing with me. Not worth it.

The hotel was great for the price. They have a very lovely pool area with a bar. The night air is great compared with the daytime heat and sun. I would recommend this hotel for people on a budget. The service was ok and they have a city bus that stops at the hotel. It runs every 3-5 minutes. The island was empty for a tourist and vacation spot. They had a storm in 2016 or 2017 and it did a lot of damage someplace was empty. The major hotels offer a day pass. I had a wonderful 4th and a great vacation.

Good staff “The breakfast was great because it could cater to our senior needs. The rooms gave us lots of space and the price was reasonable. It might have a few problems for physically challenged people but the staff would help in any way. Their support was so appreciated.”

Most of the staff was nice and friendly. I did not like the beds, they were really hard and uncomfortable. But overall it was ok.

The staff are super sweet and island friendly. They ungraded our room as soon as we got there because we needed a refrigerator and one bed. Can’t say anything bad about the staff and the food was good.

Good location, close to places to eat and the airport, helpful staff.

The pool was really nice, but the hot tub was broken. That was ok since it was so hot out anyway. We were able to have family over to swim and hang out and we were all welcomed, which made it a really nice meeting spot for all of us. The rooms and bedding were a bit dated, but they kept everything really clean. We stayed for five nights and they cleaned our room every day and brought new bedding and towels. It would have been great if there was a microwave to heat up leftovers, but we made do. The staff was really nice and the room was perfect for what we needed. The price was great too! We’ll stay there again when we go back!

Central location close to most of the local attractions, beaches & the downtown area. I was disappointed when I arrived at the Hotel shortly after 3 am June 17th the front desk was closed but the security guard offered to check me into a room until the front desk opened at 7 am instead of me hanging around in the lobby waiting. Then at 7 am the security came to the room & woke me up to inform me that the front desk was open for business. So I get to the front desk to pay my dues & the clerk informs me of my bill for 2 nights, although I just checked in on June the 17th I was charged for the 16th of June as well because check in does not begin until 11 am. I was like wow so 1. why was the security guard allowed to check me in at 3 am? and 2. why did he not make me aware that I would be charged for the 16th & 17th even though i'm checking in on the 17th? The service at this establishment is horrible, they are only concerned with money not customer service or relations. I stayed there for 4 nights & observed their performance, customer relations and service, they all failed miserably. Poor management. AirBnB for me from now on definitely whenever I travel to the Island of Grand Bahama Freeport.

The location is convenient, but not in the "high rent" district. Public transportation is available just outside the front door. The staff are welcoming and helpful.
