"2026 Cabo trip"

Alot of walking for older people, would be nice to have some sort of shuttle service from front area to villa 7, desinated pool and bar during sping break for older people as well.

"Costly and disappointed"

True Story:  Spent the week of Feb 28-Mar 7/26 at Riu Santa Fe Los Cabos, Mex. Checked out around 11:00 am. Later when it's time to pickup our luggage to leave the resort, we find out the manager and his  assistant have been holding our luggage hostage. They claim the TV in the room is broken, which they repeat over and over. We tell them that to our knowledge it was NOT. He shows us a picture on his phone of a black tv screen with a small white box shape  in lower right hand corner; no other context so we don't know for sure which room it is from.  We deny we broke it because we did not. They ask why the broken tv was not reported, to which we reply "No one reports a problem they are unaware of to maintenance." When we asked to go to the room with management so that they could show us the broken television, they said they had already removed and replaced it. So now Because we are  pressed for time and we have to leave soon, we are forced to pay for a NEW TV, (CDN. $1,000.00 +)  Next day, back at home I search the internet for a fix on the problem he accused us of and I found it to most likely be a signal feed issue, but with an easy solution to correct the problem: put simply, only a few steps: disconnect power and signal feed, while unplugged press and hold power button on tv for 30 - 60 seconds, wait 60 seconds or up to 30 minutes, then reconnect (thus creating a system reset of the tv).   The fact that the manager and his assistant were not performing their jobs properly by having a good qualified technician do a thorough troubleshoot/and a reset on that tv; was a very poor management decision.  This episode was unnecessarily disappointing and costly for me as a guest. That tv should have been reset and no charges to us at all. (Wonder where that tv is now?)   As it stands I should be reimbursed in full, I did nothing wrong.  This incident has shown a lack of good management, poor problem solving, and obtuse decision making, or maybe incompetence. Should you consider staying at this resort BEWARE, or simply book elsewhere.  Please share our story with others to avoid this situation happening to someone else; or quite possibly it already has.   See below for the instructions I found online: A black screen with a small white square (sometimes described as a white box, 'X', or prompt) in the bottom right corner usually indicates a stuck UI element from a connected streaming device (like a Firestick), a malfunctioning application, or a system overlay error.   Perform a Full System Power Cycle (The Most Effective)  This will clear the memory and forces the operating system to reload, which often removes stuck UI elements.  Unplug the TV from the wall outlet while it is turned on. Unplug any connected devices (Firestick, Roku, Cable Box, etc.). Wait at least for 60 seconds (or even up to 30 minutes for a full power drain). While it is unplugged, press and hold the physical power button on the tv for 30–60 seconds. Plug everything back in and then turn it on.  ------------- On the Plus side to this vacation was the wonderful staff from Westjet and Nexus Tour. They were friendly and very helpful. The Hotel restaurant staff were very friendly and we tipped all of the ones who served us.

"Fun in the Sun"

It was a great experience. Keep in mind if you go here during the months of March and April be prepared to deal with a lot of spring breakers. There was a lot of college students around. They weren’t rude just really loud when you were trying to sleep. Overall the hotel is wonderful and very helpful for anything you need.

"Fun Time at RIU"

We arrived during College Spring Break and it was super busy and crowded. The majority of the studrnts were awesome, we are 69 years old and loeved the fun vibes as well as the courteous behavior towards us as we joined in on all the activities. Rge RIU team was amazing keeping things organised, clean as possible and always smiling. I remeber a few who were always coming by to say hi everyday: Mitchell, Moses and Karen as well as many others. : shout out to all the bartenders, Kitchen Staff and Hosts who kept up to the crowds with a smile everyday. Beach is beautiful but you are not allwed to swim here due to backwash. Room was clean and yes there was some hoot,n and hollaring in the evenings but overall not bad. My reccomendation is if you want a quiet vacation go next door to RIU Palace. My only advice would be to offer a couple of different local beers after 7 days of same brand it gets stale. Also set up a system to prevent pople saving Loungers for other people?

"An Enjoyable Dat at the RIU Santa Fe in Cabo"

Hada visitor pass for the day to visit family and friends that were staying there. Trusly enjoyed the day except for our initial arriveal at the front gate. Security would not allow the taxi to drop us off at check-in and there was no way to reach family who were waiting for us at the front desk. Took some time to resolve bit was eventually. Food and service were good.

"Two Week Vacation"

We found there were inconsistencies in the making of the drinks between bars and bartenders, the food was good, you could always find something to eat, Would like to see the enforcement of the no smoking areas, there were people smoking in common areas, in the pools and on their balconies. Would like to see a reservation system for the al-a-carte restaurants, the more popular ones were difficult to get into if you did not arrive early. Not sure there needs to be 4 adult only RIU parties, they were basically the same party with different themes. The location was great with spectacular views of the ocean and the Arch of Cabo San Lucas; as well as yachts & cruise ships visiting Marina San Lucas. If planning a visit to the marina, try to go when the least number of cruise ships are at the port The steep slope of the beach made it difficult to walk on, if you enjoy a daily beach walk. The rooms were clean, spacious and had all the amenities you need. The RIU app works well for any housekeeping/mini bar requests, showing al-a-carte/bar menus and daily activity schedules. The WiFi was inconsistent throughout the resort; always losing connection around the same areas.

"Great stay!"

We had the best time on our trip! I was very impressed with how well the resort was run! It was very clean! The service was excellent! They have anything you could possibly want! The employees were AWESOME! The food was delicious and they had an amazing selection! I would definitely go again and I highly recommend them!
