"Great Hotel - Too Many Vendors Allowed"

8.0

My overall stay was good, staff was exceptional and property was clean! The amount of Vendors allowed at the beach in front of the property was absurd! You cannot relax on the beach in a lawn chair as they are parked in front of you with umbrellas all day! Whistling to get attention of guests at the pool! This was the only disappointing part of the trip!

"10 Fabulous Days"

8.0

Overall we had a great experience at the RIU, only complaint was the noise, it was 24 hours of boom boom boom!! Most people these days have phones and earbuds, they can enjoy their own music and so the hotel music really is not necessary all the time. It would have been nice just to enjoy nature noises, such as the ocean and the birds! Quiet time would have been lovely!! The food was really good, the hotel, our room, and every clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Cabo and the RIU, we really enjoyed it! I gave an average value due to the noise, even at 3 am 🫤

"Beware of houskeeping"

2.0

Worst experience! House keeping stole money in my shorts and went through our suitcases. Front desk said it was our fault lol. I have always loved Mexico but this is the end for us. Front desk did not care about our situation, they blamed us for items going missing. As a travel agent, i will never recommend this resort, or the Rius for that matter.

"Good value"

8.0

Upgraded to a suite at the RIU Santa Fe & it was worth it. Gorgeous room with great ocean views. We did not realize we could not explore or use the adjacent RIU properties which was very disappointing. The food was good but not outstanding. Staff was very nice and polite however there was no drink service at the pool. You had to go order your own drinks. We missed being waited on. The RIU pool party is LOUD. For this reason I think we would prefer to stay at the Palace next time. Kinda hard to take an afternoon nap with the banging music. Overall it was a good value and we enjoyed our stay but it is definitely a party place.

"Good experience"

8.0

We had an ocean view suite. Extremely clean 10/10. Room recovery service was done every morning and restocked 10/10. The food was just average. Buffet was ok. Nothing exceptional. The restaurants were sub par. The resort is huge. A lot of walking to get from one end of the resort/ beach area to reception area. Very friendly staff. Very friendly bartenders. The only downfall is no servers at tables and beach chairs like other resorts. Over all I’d give this place a 7.5/10. Love the area but I think I’d like to try a smaller resort. The one thing that stands out having said that , is I’m not sure I’d ever find a cleaner room and resort! Can’t say enough good things about that!

"10/10"

10.0

I had a fabulous stay at Riu Santa Fe! The food was delicious!! The carving station at the main buffet captured me every night!! Perfectly cooked roast beef, pork, lamb and duck!! Vegetables done perfectly regarding taste and texture. Desserts out of this world and all meals always served with a smile. Breakfast omelets' done to perfection. The resort was impeccably clean 24/7, no matter how busy it was. .Always lots of room at the pool areas and easy to find quiet and solitude as well as a good party vibe to suit your mood. Entertainment was adequate but most people just make their own fun or just sit back and chill. The Riu parties are good to check out. Stay for as long as you like or just pop in for a bit. The Riu Santa Fe is a very affordable all inclusive holiday option with no loss of quality.

"Great vacation"

10.0

Everything was great. Anyone complaining about the food - I have to wonder what they're eating at home. Workers kept busy maintaining the grounds. It was clean with many amenities. The pools were great. The beach was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. My only complaint is we couldn't stay longer.

"Safety concern"

2.0

Our family stayed at RIU Santa Fe during the second week of December 2025. The resort overall was nice, well cared for, food was decent, good activities and lots do do for the entire family....but what occurred during our stay was alarming and completely changed the course of our vacation. On our fourth day, my daughter and I were at the pool bar. After responsibly consuming approximately three alcoholic beverages, we both experienced a complete loss of memory for roughly 12 hours. We have no recollection of the afternoon, evening, or how we returned to our rooms. We believe we were both drugged. I later woke up to find my daughter on the bathroom floor in severe medical distress. She was cramping, unable to walk, and felt as though she was having a stroke. An ambulance was called and she was taken to the hospital, where she was treated with oxygen and IV fluids. She was discharged approximately 4 hours later and advised her “electrolytes were low.” We were also left with a $3,000.00 medical bill. Total memory loss, neurological effects, and temporary paralysis—are not consistent with alcohol consumption or dehydration. For context, my daughter is a police officer who rarely drinks, and we are both responsible adults with no history of blackouts. The remainder of our vacation was overshadowed by fear and stress to say the least. Our main concern was our health and safety. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of acknowledgment and concern for guest safety. The reviews speak for themselves.
