Good hotel

We were booked into this hotel by the company we went on a tour with. During our time in Peru, we spent about 5 nights here on two separate occasions. Overall, in this case, you get what you pay for. The hotel was cheap, around $55 CAD, but very basic. We stayed in two different rooms on the 5th floor and another room on the 7th floor. Wifi in all rooms was spotty at best. We had no hand or face towels and no bath mat for the floor. Only two bath towels. The rooms also only have a double bed. As well, it was difficult to sleep due to the constant noise throughout the night from people talking and doors slamming . Although the breakfast was supposed to start at 7:00, we arrived twice around 7:10 and 7:15 and the restaurant was dark. The food itself was ok only. To be fair, and give credit where credit is due, the staff of the hotel are superb! They were very helpful and friendly on all occasions! So, if you just need one night to crash and want to spend as little as possible, then this place will fit the bill. If, however, you are spending several days in Lima and want some comfort and amenities and are willing to spend a bit more, then perhaps look somewhere else.

The hotel is in a great location in Miraflores, making it a good base to explore the city. The hotel is a common starting point for many tours around Peru. The rooms are clean, and the facilities are good for the hotel price range. The walls in the hotel rooms are quite thin so noise from other rooms can keep you up in the night. The hotel offers 24/7 reception and provides vending machines in the basement to cater to your needs at any time. The service provided by desk manager Percy was exceptional, who speaks fluent English and helped me with any problems I had during my trip. The hotel restaurant was good for the price range and gave me a complementary Pisco sour with my dinner which was very appreciated! The included breakfast was nice, but choices were limited. Overall, Hotel Santa Cruz is a good hotel for exploring the city, with the facilities expected for a hotel of this price range.

The property is in a great location and the staff is very friendly. While the size of room/bed was as to be expected (nothing extravagant), multiple amenities were not included. Some of these include an ac unit, in room mini fridge, safe, and mattress topper. After spending a week here, the missing items were noticeable. I reached out to multiple people and was not able to resolve the issue before the end of my stay.

This hotel is quite basic. The breakfast is okay with flavorless coffee. The rooms are a good size with worn bedding and a soft mattress. The hotel towels are the most gray-ish and thin towels I've experienced in a while. The front desk staff do not all speak English. But the hotel is inexpensive and in a good location.

The hotel is very average, but the lovely staff do certainly make up for it - they've been incredibly helpful with anything you ask for! Ask for rooms on higher floors to reduce the noise from the middle courtyard where everyone gathers for breakfast/tour departures. Good location for Miraflores area, about 20-30mins taxi/train from the historical centre.

We stayed here twice during our Peruvian visit. This hotel is a meeting place for G adventures and is the reason we booked our extra nights in Lima here. The lobby is spacious and the check in was quick even though there were small issues both times we checked in (they were quickly resolved). We stayed in 610 and 710. Both rooms had three beds, 2 together and one separated by the bathroom. There was a/c in both rooms. 610 had a balcony and 710 had a mini fridge. They did put us in a room on the second level but we asked to be moved since it was small and only had one tinted window for light. We felt safe here and most people spoke English.
