Hanalei Bay Resort

When you get to the resort, it's beautiful, but the parking is ridiculous, the rooms are mediocre, and the setup is awkward. You have 2 doors 1 room goes into the bathroom and bedroom. And the other door goes into the 2nd bathroom, kitchen and living room. But when you get to the balcony, everything is 10 times better. The views are spectacular, the grounds are perfect, and the beach access is a semi easy 10-minute walk.. they have golf carts that run all over the resort, which is fantastic. When you come back from the beach, there is a phone that reaches the golf cart guys and comes right down to pick you up. They do have beach chairs, but you have to get them from the time share guy and listen to a 5 minute pitch. There is a restaurant on the grounds but we did not use it. I have stayed at the Cliffs before, and I will choose this over them because of the beach access.

No flexibility on 10am checkout time

Beautiful location & views, the room was very spacious and very clean. The pool was AMAZING, it’s huge and very clean, it never was too busy either! The staff do free root beer floats around the pool some days & overall create an amazing atmosphere! The resort grounds and gardens were beautiful & direct bath too the beach was so convenient. The restaurants on site both were really great, we were able to walk in without bookings each night. Breakfast options on site are limited, there is a small cafe that serves coffee. Location of the resort is fantastic, a shot drive from Hanalei and an array if beautiful beaches. I would recommend this property in a heart beat! Hopefully we will be back one day!

The location is top notch

No drink service at the pool and inability to purchase drinks at the restaurant bar “to-go” so we went to the 1 Hotel and spent money there instead 😅
