Lido Beach Resort - Sarasota

Beware!!! We booked a beachfront suite at the Lido Beach Resort in Sarasota FL for a special 40th anniversary vacation. The photo of the beach on the hotel's website and on our confirmation looked gorgeous. However when we arrived we were upset to see that our view of the beach included huge bulldozers and other construction vehicles and huge pipes and that the beach was blocked off. There was also ongoing construction noise. When we asked at the front desk what was going on we were told that this was reconstruction work due to damage from the hurricane that occurred two years ago. We were not informed of this when we made the reservation. I said this was a case of deceptive advertising and bait and switch. The young friendly desk staff just smiled and shrugged. No offer was made to refund or reduce the rate for the room.

Our valet driver, Will. Went above and beyond to make sure we dined and shopped at the best spots! Made the trip multiple times better.

Roniee was a very friendly guy who always attended to our needs and his services were much appreciated.

Had a short weekend, my family was visiting me, and the Lido Beach resort treated us amazingly! We had a wonderful attendant, Roniee, who made sure we had our towels, beach chairs and umbrellas set up as swiftly as possible and always made sure we had our drinks and a great time. Super sociable and welcoming person. Always love coming back to here and can’t wait to come again!

I stayed here the first week of March 2026. I normally stay at the Ritz Carlton but they wanted $1,600 a night (yes you read that right) so I decided to look around and found this place. It is right on the beach, which is beautiful. They have 2 heated swimming pools (one for adults only), and nice restaurant on the 8th floor of the building. They also have a tiki bar at the pool that serves lunch and drinks. The room was wonderful, the facilities were well maintained (clean, nice water features and landscaping), and I was surprised to find a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, dishes and silverware/etc in my room. They have a shuttle that takes you to the local restaurant district (5 minute drive). Very friendly staff. Just nothing to say but nice things about this place. I will return.

The king suites are the perfect size and overlook the pools and ocean. Really pretty beach here, which is not the case for all or the resort beaches (I’m looking at you, Ritz). Friendly service from everyone. Shout out to Tariq, Torrie, Doug and Monica at the tiki bar, they’re like a well-oiled machine (and super friendly)!

Perfect vacation spot and facility. With your restaurant, cafe, and outdoor Tiki bar, you didnt need to leave the Resort! And all staff were so friendly and helpful!

We recently stayed at the Lido Beach Resort hotel in Sarasota. The booking was made approximately 7 days prior to arrival. Prior to booking I called and checked that we could have a room with a bath for my wife and this was confirmed. I also checked that the hotel had direct access to the beach. This was also confirmed. On arrival there was no room with a bath. Mimi Milic, a manager, was extremely helpful and managed to get us a room with a bath 48 hours later. The rooms were nice inside but otherwise very poor . There was no view to be enjoyed as we had to keep our curtains closed the whole time as people walked pass our window to gain access to their room. On the website this is not shown. Furthermore, when we went on to the beach, it was being " repaired " from high winds ( or so we were told ). There were tractors reshaping the area and also installing some very large pipework. The noise was quite relentless . In my initial discussion this should have been disclosed as it was difficult to relax with the perpetual noise. We felt quite let down generally. I should add , the staff, in particular , Mimi Milic, in the hotel were very nice and the food pretty good as well.

Just came back from a 2-night stay with my young daughter at Lido Beach Resort and I can't wait to go back. The location of the hotel is perfect as you are not only on the beach but also within walking distance (10-15 minutes) to the town. I can't speak highly enough about the front desk staff. They truly went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The beach bar is so fun and the bartenders make the best drink. I stayed in the Palm tower and highly recommend that building as the rooms are new, bright and very comfortable. The rooms in the Tiki tower look outdated and less comfortable. Looking forward to our next stay!
