The Minster Hotel York

Just had two nights in the York minster hotel it was lovely and cosy staff amazing and we will be back next year amazing breakfast

Really enjoyed our stay at the Minster our room was excellent and must have been recently renovated as everything was like new. The hotel is spotless with such lovely welcoming staff breakfast Was superb and freshly cooked served by happy friendly people. The hotel has a great location only a five minute walk to the Minster so we just left the car in the secure hotel car park and went off exploring each day. I would highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to book again.

Please change the pillows! The only negative for the stay. Flat as a tack. BUT the room and the accommodation and the staff are excellent. Breakfast a bargain at under £10.

Within easy walking distance of the city centre

Breakfast was very good. Easy walking to town. We also walked to the property from the train station. All staff we just so lovely. Good value. Would recommend.

We have stayed here many times and always had a lovely breakfast served by the same friendly man, but were quite shocked that a female member of staff was wearing sports leggings with a huge hole in the knee not what you expect to see in a restaurant. In our room the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall, the pillows had no protectors on and the mattress protector had multiple stains, bodily fluid and blood that were clearly not fresh so had been there some time with a clean sheet on top so the stains could be seen through the sheet. I would not be happy on a normal stay but this was booked for my birthday.

Great little hotel. Lovely staff and comfy, spacious room with everything we needed for a short city break in such a convenient location. We’ll definitely be back to stay!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel at the beginning of September following a recommendation from family after they had visited a few weeks earlier. The hotel and room was very clean and of a high standard and the staff were friendly and accommodating with our luggage and breakfast options. They were extremely helpful in storing our luggage securely so that we could explore the city on our final day and as a vegetarian/vegan they had oat milk and non-dairy spread as breakfast options as well as cooked items and a lovely buffet spread. My partner enjoyed the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and we were welcomed both during the day and late at night. We were so glad to choose an independent hotel for this trip and look forward to returning on other visits. Each day staff replenished toilet rolls and hot drink and biscuit supplies without us having to visit reception and our bathroom was very clean, immaculate and modern. For a hotel that is so close to the city and its amenities with a Sainsbury's local on the doorstep, honestly this hotel deserves lots of great reviews and guests.
