Casa del Caribe Inn

It was just what we needed. The room and restroom spacious, and the beds were very comfortable.

This hotel is old, filthy, and moldy. Idk about the other rooms but room 4 window didn’t open, and if it did i was not trying my hardest because it looked like filth and disease would fall on me. They kept giving me 1 wash cloth even though there were two of us in the room. They did not have anyone at the desk most of the time. They were usually in the back part of the “inn” talking and laughing with one another. The only reason I stayed was b/c our trip was 2 days and we really only needed to sleep one night and have a place to store our belongings. The bathroom was disgusting. The only positive was that it is RIGHT near the beach, about a 5 minute walk. Around many restaurants and very walkable. Close to old San Juan. The thing is, there are MANY hotels in this area too that are far more suitable. Choose the area, not this place. Condado, find places here. There is a shared fridge and microwave. Lack of staff. Astronomical fees in case an item is missing. Once again on the wash cloths, when i asked for another one the lady said “that’s 3” i told her it wasn’t so I wouldn’t get charged because it was “missing”. We wore shoes the entire stay, even in the shower, so that we did not touch the floor. Water pressure was horrible and it took entirely too long for the water to get luke warm water. It wouldn’t even get hot. Expedia and the internet have completely different ratings but the comments are all the same, i wish i read those instead of just going based on stars. Terrible

Amazing location nearby the beach, great service, room was nice and had no issues with the inn.

Stay away from this dump! Do not take your family to this place. If you are arriving later at night, book elsewhere. No one at hotel for checkin. Had to go find alternate office for checkin and no one there either. Finally someone came after having to make multiple phone calls. Checkin was hours long process. Finally got to room to get settled very late. Room was dirty, stained sheets, moldy crud in “kitchen” sink. Politely asked day desk clerk for extra 30 minutes for checkout since our checkin was so horrible and late. I got yelled at and was told I have to follow the rules and was rudely refused. I explained the checkin nightmare and I got yelled at some more.

The gentleman that checked us in on the evening of June 19, 2025 was very nice and helpful.

I’ve stayed at this property a few times! The staff is my favorite thing about it. First time staying in the front room there was a lot of mold running down the walls and I coughed all night. I’ve never had an issue before so much be this room only.

It isn't the resorts, but if you're looking for a place to stay within easy walking distance to dozens of shops, bars, and restaurants, plus the beach and a few casinos, it's absolutely perfect. Staff is friendly and helpful. You cant beat the location for the price. Cant recommend enough
