Catalonia Montego Bay - All Inclusive

The highs: Courteous staff from the check in to the restaurants and throughout. I commend the staff for being polite and helpful. The semi formal restaurant I went to for one night was great! The oks: The room was outdated but clean, so not too fussy about that. Entertainment nights were ok. Better than nothing. There could be more pools with various heights. Its just one pool that goes in a cirlce thats the same level. The lows: The buffet food was a BIG hit and miss. Miss was usually at breakfast. Some of the food were not cooked thoroughly enough and was very hard to chew. The chefs should do better. The fruit drinks tasted diluted. I preferred drinking water. The place is filled with cats. I dont mind them on the general property, but its a turn off seeing them come through the eating area. The eating area is not in an enclosed space so its easy for them to come in and also for flies to come in as well. Management should really do something about that. Also the beach and pool area have alot of chairs but few umbrellas. If you want an umbrella, you have to go down early to grab one because those get taken first. Overall, the experience was just OK.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. I was first impressed with the access to the private beach and the small island which is accessible via walking across the shallow waters. The dinning options has a variety of delicious foods. And there are a few different restaurants that you can reserve for the evening for a more formal dining experience. I really enjoyed the hibachi restaurant. The staff is very friendly and at your beckoning call for all your needs. I was sure to bring singles with me to leave tips after every meal and to tip the waiting staff (optional). Something else that I enjoyed was the availability of the water sports which is an additional cost at most other hotels. The rooms are clean. Also, I formy phone in the dining room and remembered it after 1 hour. The staff turned it in to the guest service and I was able to retrieve it.

Location was amazing, the hotel staffs was phenomenal Tatiana at the buffet did an excellent job in making sure my father-in-law was comfortable and well taken care of. The best part was going over the privite island in the warm blue water to swim with all the fishes. Food choices was great and taste amazing our only issue was the property was a bit outdated which they are currently under renovation so I'm sure within a few months everything should be perfect. Me and my family will return.

They had no hot water and most of my stay there was no water and cats all over the place and the rooms had bad smell place needs better maintenance and management

The property had great beach access, including a mini private island on the property. We were able to check in hours early and get a room with a better view, no extra cost. Great food options, not just the main buffet. Close drive to the airport and shopping. Despite the renovations, great stay. Would definitely recommend
